Not sure why people wanna see what they don't wanna see.
If there's a car wreck, all passers-by get rubber necks.
Morbid curiosity I guess.
Ware has youth on his side, he should be OK with good care, good fortune, good re-hab.
Not sure he will be running or playing basketball, but he may wind up with 2 functional legs + his life.
Strange injury indeed....I don't know a thing about him, was he built like one on steroids???

Its not worth watching. Just save yourself the agony.

Bollocks. I know it is difficult to view & very gruesome, but it makes you really appreciate what you have.

I even watched the video of the kid in the Middle East who converted to Christianity get his head sawed off with a knife...video was about 20mins long.

Why would you do that? Not judging, just wondering.

Clear understanding of what some people face each and every day in countries abroad, innocent people just like you and I. It is one thing to read about it and another to be in the midst of it, I've no desire to live amongst EVIL, but I'll take the middle ground and at least watch it, it is the least I can do. They are going through it all, the torture & pain, it is the least I can do...to get a sense of what goes on while most of us take for granted the liberties that were fought for us to enable us to create the technology to capture these images, and at least view it. So I suppress nausea and fear for, ehhh it is the least I can do.

If that atrocious act were to happen to me, I'd want someone to see it if they had the opportunity...maybe then perhaps enough anger would build up to defeat the Monsters, in my opinion it would be the least they could do.

It's amazing that he did not tear any major ligaments. That was a very strange injury, but luckily it was a clean break so it should heal pretty well. I hope to see him on the court next year.

Yeah, looks like the bone below the knee just snapped in two. Maybe it was already stressed.

Some seem hell bent on derailing the thread to judge or attack others, but just let it go.

You're so righteous now. No one is attacking anyone goodness, some sensitive folks around here today. We all feel for KW and wish him a speedy recovery. That doesn't mean we can't discuss other opinions.

So lets just save the attacks and judgments for the other threads. There are plenty of them to choose from. Lets just keep this one clean without a bunch of bitter arguing and attacking.

Rooting for more injuries I see....some things never change.05-nono

This is somewhat off topic...because everyone wants this kid to recover and the look of the broken leg was horrific...and who knew if it was going to be more than a bad broken leg- so, good that it was not.

The sympathy is nice and appropriate...

But I do remember the overwhelming lack of sympathy when one of our kids, DWash, broke down after the missed free throws. Louisville fans were merciless and brutal and universally mocking in their treatment.

No- DWash was not physically hurt and of course there was no threat that his collapse could possibly be career ending- I get that.

Note- I get that.

I get that.

But when there was a very human event and a very human reaction from a 19 year old kid- there was remarkably little sympathy for that...from them. In fact- it was the opposite.

We...Memphis...are better!!!

There are crude unsympathetic uncaring folks in all fan bases. I had to block a facebook tiger friend for making horrid remarks about Kevin Ware.

Didn't drink enough milk.

Or eat enough calcium-bearing veggies. Many ways to get calcium. ;-) But, of course, I have no way of knowing why his leg broke. I wish him a swift and good recovery.

My son's soccer coach would not let his players drink 2%. Had to drink the red cap for bone density.

I not bothered in the slightest by anything I have posted. I alone know what my intentions were.

Message board discussions and rants are just way more important to some people than to others. Maybe something like this is truly a really big deal to certain people. Its just not to me

I understand and agree with you on this. I watched the first Al qadea beheading for that reason. Sort of paying homage to the guy (Daniel Pearl?) who died. Morning for him.
