They've made virtually zero investment in facilities over the last several years.
They have significant investment planned.

USM, UH, ULL....You sure do have a lot of rooting interests.
I find it funny that you say...

This is genius Andre, you simply create a bating argument with yourself and let the rest happen while claiming some sense of deniability.
Seriously...it is quite comical; I'll give you that.
He has fallen into the message board black hole of writing self-fulfilling prophecies. Pretty much each of the six schools that moved on to the new conference announced facilities improvements when they did. Southern Miss got no invite, and did not announce any facilities improvements. Therefore, whenever someone announces facilities improvements, they must be moving past Southern Miss. There is just enough truth to this for it to be believable, but it is still a fallacious argument because it assumes that all other variables are equal. In other words, because we are all the same, someone making improvements must be getting better than the rest of us.
I don't personally believe that. A wise man worries about his house first before he checks on his neighbors. The issue is about priorities within our house. We need to address those problems under our own roof first before we worry about what ULL or Houston or La Tech is doing.
I mean no disrespect to you Andre, but sometimes I have to call it how I see it.
Thanks for reading and responding to my posts.
Go Eagles... I still think we are building something, even through the little ups and downs.
I'm going to send you an autographed fathead of Hammond for Xmas for making that statement!

The Cajuns have in the last few years added an indoor practice facility, a new softball stadium bigger than anything in CUSA and put new turf on our baseball field. The Phase one improvements are fully funded. They just need the ok from the UL system in the meeting in April. As for phase two, bonds are being lined up now by Lafayette bankers. Randy Cloutier from Mid South Bank was interviewed in the fall about the bonds. Unlike some other universities our improvements are happening, not just some plans and and a PowerPoint. We may be in the Sunbelt or some other conference, but the improvements will happen.

Could this 35 page tread be moved to our conference realignment tread. Sadly we have Univerity of Louisiana at Lafayette supporters from the Sun Belt Board coming on this CUSA site to attempt too overly promote their program, market area and financial support, abandon the Sunbelt and have CUSA accept them.

Jonathan, I'm sure you're a very nice fellow and all that but you are a fan of a departing school. I would much rather have posters coming over here that want their school in than those that are only here short term and have no further investment in CUSA. Besides, I believe the ULL fans have only posted in defense of their program when its been denegrated.

ULL is a far better athletic program than Tulane. I understand why you don't want this thread here. Now head on over to your new conference board and enjoy. After all, your school is the one that broke apart the Big East, so you should feel warm and fuzzy over there.

LOL... does Hammond really have his own Fathead?
I've been thinking about buying season tickets for the two extreme northeast seats in the upper deck. If that happens, y'all can bring whipped cream pies to throw at me or something. Should be easy to spot.
