Give it an eff'ing rest for crying out loud dude!!!

c'mon...this applies directly to CUSA future tv negotiations....the post is valid

Actually it doesn't. This is a thread about the nBE, not CUSA.
The word CUSA appears in his original post 4 times, so how is it not CUSA related.

He modified his post to include CUSA after he was called out. I would not have said anything if his original post had included a relation to CUSA which it didn't.

the words are irrelevant....the context is however it gets chopped up

It was relevent. Tallgrass has an agenda and sometimes he crosses the line. Constantly talking about the misfortunes of the nBE on this board does nothing but entices the leaving members to become venomous and then the pissing matches start.

Even though the agenda of some is skewed at times, this particular subject matter is relevant regardless of the subject line verbiage. The nBE and CUSA are linked like sausage regardless of how it is spun.

He made a number of great points in the OP and it sucks that some choose to render a post/poster as senseless rhetoric when something is worthy of being discussed.

Sometimes they get it right. To write off a poster based on history and to not read the post (which I believe some do not and just bash) is pure ignorance. In this case, it is obviously not you. I also did not notice he edited to save face.

Regardless, the verbiage CUSA is still irrelevant to the context. nBE issues are directly related to CUSA in today's world...is implied at this point

are we still having this point debated? Come on the topic presented is certainly one of a legit nature and since some of our schools are not yet in but going to that conference in the future it is certainly a post of interest and merit. To state that a certain poster doesn't have credibility with you so their topic regardless of it's merit is meaningless is very short sight, discriminatory, and puts the one objecting in an appearance of not being very capable of debating a point. That is a problem not only in the sports world but in many other worlds like politics, religion, business and so on. I urge that we avoid such an approach because it is harmful to getting different views regardless of our position and in the process we might actually find out we are the ones that are wrong on some occasions. Remember even a stopped clock is right 2 times a days unless it is a 24 hour then it is right only once a day, but still that one time is there. Don't allow this board to be a closed minded and set mindset that doesn't allow for differing views.

RE: The Nbe TV c
It's a moot point. There wont be a nBE in 6 years. The ACC will be ravaged way before then and some of the nBE will go there while the rest scramble for a place to live.

Well fhuck it.....why do you think the ACC will be ravished? Because the media says so? Because bloggers say so? The BE ain't going nowhere.

Everyone is just waiting to see what happens with the Maryland lawsuit. Once that is settled, it's Arme-*******-ggedon.

you could be right, but I am a little more optimistic although not totally disagreeing with you. I think eventually the tier 2 programs are going to have to find a way to use numbers to overcome the gap, and the stronger the weaker tier 2 teams are the better for the rest in tier 2. Big East (whatever name it might be) C-USA will have to find a way to live together and work together and give the Sun Belt a seat with a unity of purpose among us all. I am not sure that can happen but if it does we can all do far better.

I think you're right and I wouldn't have agreed with you until very recently reading quotes from B1G presidents and AD's saying they don't think their conference is stopping at 14 or even 16 and that there are opportunities to grow their conference in the southeast part of the country. Speculation of the B1G taking up to 4 from the ACC followed by the SEC taking 2 is heating up. If that happens within the next year then the ACC will have no choice but to take schools such as UConn, Cincy, Temple, USF and maybe UCF and Memphis. For the sake of money and power within college athletics the B1G is ready and willing to leave big behind and become huge.
