There is little parking, you can break a leg trying to walk around it, it has the acoustics of a tin can. Hopefully that renovation will repair all the obviously dangerous outside walkways and significantly improve the appearance of the stadium.
I think it serves UTSA purposes, it provides a great home field advantage and has plenty of capacity. It obviously takes the weather out of the game. I just argue with the thought it is a great facility just because it is a large dome.
The problem with large capacity stadiums is they are a turnoff with small crowds.
Exhibit A of what I'm referring to. Apogee was $70 mill total, the Alamodome just had $60 mill pumped into it. It's about to host the Final Four for like the fifth time. Dangerous walkways? That's a new one.
Youre really telling me this isn't a solid sports atmosphere:
Add 4 new video boards, ribbon boards, sound system, lighting, concessions, wider concourses, brand new, huge media room, locker rooms, among other improvements. It's not UTSA's and it's not on-campus but that's literally the only bad things anyone in CUSA can say about it.
Marshall has a new soccer stadium, about 2 years old or so. Seating is around 1500 or so. It's turf, only one of 3 turf facilities approved by FIFA. Nice place. Good seating, coaches and training offices.
Our Indoor Facility is one of the best in the country. Well done.

UAB is planning on expanding its soccer stadium to 5k seats in a partnership with Birmingham's new USL team. The expansion will add new seating on the south sidelines, new press box, ticket booth, restrooms, concessions, and video boards. Click the link for renderings.
Looks like the brand spanking new Baseball scoreboard is almost ready. This thing is a huge upgrade over the last one and frankly way larger than our FB one.
