I find it very amusing that a man who opposes Birth Control in his faith has voted time and time again to extend access (votes are on record) yet people are so threatened by his personal beliefs that they ignore his voting record.

And you people were worried about Obama's religious beliefs (or lack thereof)?!?

Fair point on Secularism/Atheism. Not sure if there are any declared secularist politicians though. Anyone come to mind?

I don't think Kucinich is an avowed atheist. He's a "New Age Vegan Catholic." He sounds "more spiritual than religious." The only admitted atheist in Congress is Rep. Pete Stark of California.

Here's a question that was recently posed to me.....

Imagine your ideal Presidential Candidate....the person that would enact legislation you agree with, and fight to be rid of legislation you disagree with. They have the exact same idea as to the role of the Federal Government in your life.

Now, imagine there is a clone of this person...the only difference between them being, one is Atheist, and the other is Muslim.

Who would you vote for and why?

Let me count up the number of angles standing on the head of the here pin... If its even I'll vote for the atheist if its odd the muslim..

I'd vote for the atheist. Don't trust religious folks, never have, never will.

So they had to dig up a 4 year old quote as if he said it yesterday? The press is just political operatives masquerading as journalists. Anyone who can't see that gets the government they deserve.
