RE: Rand Paul shuts down entire Senate committee
I don't think Rand Paul will ever be President of the United States (although he would be a far improvement over the incumbent). But I do predict he will hold his Senate seat for three or four terms (as long as he wants it, really), and continue to perform valuable public service in that role, doing exactly the sort of thing he did Wednesday morning on the floor of the Senate.

Obama may not be that good but you certainly can't put more of these clowns in government. Look at the circus that is the republican primary process. 03-melodramatic

RE: Rand Paul shuts down entire Senate committee
A really wise man who was my mentor 20 years ago said to me during my first course of study committee I was assigned to. "You'll be on 15 of these committees before your time is through." If I only knew then how true that statement was. I think there's an unholy trinity between the text book makers, higher ed, and dept. of eds to keep the controversy brewing so they can ALL milk the cow. PUT the control back at the local levels. Let counties determine their course of study. A conservative think tank ought to put out how much money IS wasted by middle management at the county and state levels. Have you ever met a curriculum designer? The epitome of those that can't do............

We ought to change that little saying,
Those that can't do teach.... Those that can't teach become administrators and curriculum designers.........

Wait, that is all you do! You simply call people names and add very little of real substance (more than Robert, but a rock can add more than he does).

Sorry I can't read this thread for laughing at UM2001's signature.

Wish I had a camcorder with me when "OWS" showed up outside my former dayjob in Upstate, SC ... and then had their 15-25 person marches in a city of 60,000+. And oh yea, they flat out said MoveOn.org was paying them to do it.

Me too. When I lived in Memphis, one Tea Party rally in Memphis had more people there than the OWS movement in NYC. I will give them credit though, Van Jones did a great job getting these organized.
