RE: If liberals really care about the poor...they should support a consumption tax.
It's more like 231 trillion whole pizzas and even if 10% are storing 90% of them in their freezers, there is still plenty to keep everyone else fed.
And more are in the oven. Another 110 trillion will be baked in the next 5 years.

I don't think anyone on this board is in the top 10%, or mabe even in the top 20-30%, and most of us are doing just fine. People seem to forget there will always be a top and bottom percent.

Then why don't democrats support a national sales tax? We don't tax wealth in this country.
While we all get that the system is out of balance, it is because we tax the only way for people who aren't wealthy to become wealthy... By earning income. That is just stupid

Wrong.
Wrong? You're so Gdamn stupid you can't get a certain cert on your own to make more money, so you think the government should step in and give you more money since the company won't, and you aren't experienced and educated enough.

I have some advice for you BHR....Forget owning a boat. Look into joining a boat cooperative. They have them here in NC. You pay one time fee and a small monthly dues. The co op takes care of the boats and all you have to do is reserve a day...put fuel in it and go. They even are Sea Tow members in case the thing breaks down. I ran the numbers in regard to buying a boat and maintaining it vs. the co op. I saved a ton of money with the co op and one hell of a lot less trouble and aggravation.
The old saying is true..."A boat is a hole in the water that you keep throwing money in." I will never own another boat again.
I just bought a scout 252xsf this past season. I grew up with boats and always said I'd own one. My dad always used that line about how it being a hole in the water...., that said, I can't think of a time when we didn't have at least two. At any rate, someone mentioned the boat co-ops, I've heard they are good. Not sure what cost of ownership is going to look like on this one, but may consider the co-op if things get to ridiculous.

I can't believe that you would live in liberal Boston. Must be another Beacon Hill south of the Mason Dixon line. This would be assuming that you aren't BSing us all.
Btw, why the hell would someone pay that much for that boat(assuming that size Scout does actually exist(since I couldn't seem to find anything in that size). Even used it isn't worth that price. If you could live on it, it would be one thing but it didn't look like you could.

It depends upon one's boating needs. It has worked well for me since I normally use the service during the Fall and Spring fishing seasons when the reservations are easy to get almost any day. During the Summer..it is a different story. It takes at least a week to get a reservation. Also...I have been able to reserve without much problem off shore craft that I could never justify the cost of owning. You can also sign over a boat to this outfit and they will credit your account the value of the craft. I know a guy that turned over a 20ft McKee to them and he uses his own boat almost every time he goes fishing. It is a pretty interesting business model.

You're too stupid to even do their cheer right. Let me help you out, it's "roll tide".
You're right, you haven't asked for my money...but everything you support would directly effect my financial well being. I worked for what I have, no one that I don't choose to share it with is entitled to what I EARN. 7 years of school, $80k in student loan debt (almost paid off, only took 3.5 years), 70 hour work weeks are the norm. So guess what? I have a nice condo, a nice truck, a nice boat, can go out to nice meals and take nice vacations. Those aren't entitlements. Those are things you earn through hard work. OWS protestors and people like you b!tch about working 40 hours a week performing tasks that don't require a lot of brain power. There is a reason I make just north of a $250k a year and you struggle. Because I've spent my life busting my ass to get what I have while you've bitched about somebody busting their ass to get what they have and then not sharing. Go f$ck yourself.

No, it's the Beacon Hill in Boston. A bit of a safe haven for conservatives here. I mean the majority in the neighborhood are still liberal, but they tend to be educated liberals that you can have a differing opinion without them starting shouting names at you. I have plenty of liberal friends, they don't bother me b/c they aren't irrelational and they respect that our opinions differ.
Sorry, typo, hit the 5 instead of the 6. It's a 262 xsf. You're entitled to your opinion. Then again, you can't afford one so it doesn't really matter. I have no desire to live on a boat, did that for a summer and that was enough for me. It's a fishing boat, dude. If you enjoyed sport fishing maybe you'd feel differently.

Wow... it would be plain hypocritical of you to make such a comment if you were merely economically ignorant, but it's stunningly hypocritical given that you suffer from a raging case of economic stupidity.
I regularly send the stupid things you write to my colleagues at Ole Miss just to humiliate them. And yes, they are humiliated.
