Hey, Dr. Torch, we agree on something. That's exactly what it is. They want what the wealthy have, they just don't want to have to earn it.
Wrong.
Wrong? You're so Gdamn stupid you can't get a certain cert on your own to make more money, so you think the government should step in and give you more money since the company won't, and you aren't experienced and educated enough.
You're the TYPICAL liberal, you moron.

Hey, how about this. Ask the REAL techies here. Ask GTS how much of his experience his company paid for. Ask me how many Cisco, Nortel Bay, and other Networking books my company paid for. That would be funny since all those books are sitting next to an old TV in my closet. People that are worth their salt will do what they need to do to become employable. Other people, leeches, will expect the company to do everything and if they don't, will ***** about them on a sports board.
You have the chance. You're just too fuken lazy to do it. Do the f'n math, you moron. Do the math of what it would take you to learn the software and compare it to the raise you'd get, you SERIOUSLY are a stupid mof'er.

Go ask anyone if they would like to see the amount withheld from their paychecks return into their pockets? Go ask the poor could they use a monthly prebate check to help cover expenses? I doubt you would find anyone that would object to either of these things.
A consumption tax is the ONLY proposal that totally untaxes the poor. If liberals really cared about the poor in America, they should be down at the Capital demanding this type of tax reform instead of wasting their time and efforts in these OWS protests.
The fact that the leadership of the left never mentions tax reform other than in context of soaking the rich....is proof that they really do not care one bit about the poor. They just simply hate the rich.
Dude. Put the crack pipe down and step away.
Fool.

I need to clarify.
When you consider the top 10& own 90% of the wealth and the bottom 80% own 7% of the wealth. I do believe their is class warfare going on and the middle class is being slaugtered. Specifically the nation's policies that have targeted open trade. Policies in the last thirty years. You guys scream about envy. It's misdirected. The middle class is trying to foight back for their slice of the pie graph. It's not a zero sum game. It's about growing your percentage of the pie while growing the pie. The problem as I see it is the pie has grown but the percentage has drastically been reduced.
Two observations.
Not one word about the other parts of my post just focusing in on the scraps comment. I say fighting because public unions in Ohio are fighting for their very existence while the state govt gives away 300 million in Corporate tax breaks.
Say you had a party with 100 people. You order pizza. This pizza has 100 slices. What would you call the remaining 10 slices for the remaining 90 people. Dessert? Main course? Have some perspective people.

Think you need an edit there somewhere.
Edit: My fault. 10 people have 9 slices each or a combo adding to 90. Carry on.

I don't think anyone on this board is in the top 10%, or mabe even in the top 20-30%, and most of us are doing just fine. People seem to forget there will always be a top and bottom percent.

I would think the majority of us on here are in the top 10%. If your household income is over 100,000 your there I think. I'll look up the breakdowns.

I don't get what this little rant you went on has to do with me not being envious of someone who may be extremely wealthy but has no life outside of work.

Is it Godfather's pizza? Heck, if it is the remaining 90 people would share 5 slices of pizza, not 10.

If I'm living on scraps, keep them coming. I don't make much money, probably a bit under the average for a 25 year old, but that makes sense seeing as I work for the State of Illinois. That being said, I have a nice new LED TV, Droid, Sony Viao laptop, and numerous other luxuries. I'm paying down my debt from school pretty quickly and the only reason I'm not buying a house anytime in the next few months is because my girlfriend won't sign a mortgage until there is a ring on it and we also can't decide where to live that works for our commutes. I am loving these scraps that are left over. There is really nothing I want that I can't afford, except for a boat, but that will come in time.

I have some advice for you BHR....Forget owning a boat. Look into joining a boat cooperative. They have them here in NC. You pay one time fee and a small monthly dues. The co op takes care of the boats and all you have to do is reserve a day...put fuel in it and go. They even are Sea Tow members in case the thing breaks down. I ran the numbers in regard to buying a boat and maintaining it vs. the co op. I saved a ton of money with the co op and one hell of a lot less trouble and aggravation.
The old saying is true..."A boat is a hole in the water that you keep throwing money in." I will never own another boat again.

If each person paid the same amount for the pizza, each person should get one slice. If 10% of the people paid for 90% of the pizza, they should get 90% of the pizza, unless they choose to give some of their slices to others.
Which one of these scenarios applies more to taxes in the U.S.?

I'd order more pizza.
See, that's the part the left ignores. The way to solve a lot of problems is to grow the pie. I'll go further. The "rich" are going to get theirs no matter what. They have ways, just like Warren Buffett paying a 17% tax rate. The way to have more for everybody else is to have more, period. You can't take care of the poor and middle class without growing the economy.
Do you really think that if you try to stick it to the "rich" then they are going to just sit there and take it? They're greedy capitalists, remember. What do you think are the chances they're going to find ways to get around whatever you try to do? And what do you think are the odds that whatever they do to get around it is going to be less favorable toward growing the US economy than what they would do if you made it favorable for them to invest here and create jobs here? Have you been watching the last 50 years? Exactly what do you think is going on?
So if they're going to get theirs no matter what, then if you plan on taking care of everyone else, you'd better grow the pie.

I don't understand why liberals always worry about the 90 slices that are gone. Why not focus on the 10 that are left or like Owl69/70/75 wrote, focus on making or buying another pizza? That is why that bottom percentage will never get out of the bottom. They will wait until they starve to death for the government to give them some pizza.
I must admit I'd be in line for free pizza if they were giving it away, but I wouldn't waste a lot of time complaining about it if there was none left. I'd just go buy my own.

Guys the pizza isn't income. It's wealth. Already accumulated. The system is set up for the top 10%, In ten years we will be talking about 8 slices. Then in ten more years the 5 slices left.
