RE: The Official WMU vs. Akron MAC SEMIFINALS Game Thread
I'm not trying to chase anybody off. I just made a suggestion. Not saying you need to be on here all the time. But if the ONLY time people see you is when you want to whine, complain, heap negatives on the program, what do you really expect?
You've rejected my suggestion. I can live with that.

And you seem to treat people exactly like the people you used to despise on this board. I think we are all a little upset with the way things turned out tonight and so it's natural to want to find some way to vent that frustration. Considering what happened in Japan today, I'd say we all have it pretty good if this is the type of thing that makes us upset.

I'm not upset. Disappointed with the outcome - absolutely.
Why you seem to think I'm bagging on you is a mystery. I made a suggestion. That's all. I was trying to stay out of the pissing match but H4H made a good observation. You don't want to see it, hear it or read it. Keep playing the victim card, pal. It's done wonders for you so far.

On the plus side, I saved $300 in gas, hotel, and food, by not having to go to Cleveland tomorrow. Will take in my first hockey game in 5 years instead.

Yeah once I saw the replay I saw it.
So, I thought for sure Cvetinovic, and McLanahan were seniors...only juniors. Does akron play these guys while they are redshirted and get away with it? (sarcasm)

Look, everyone's disappointed in yesterday's outcome. Why are you turning on each other, and eating your own young over this? Is this a male thing? Too much leftover testosterone, and nowhere to put it?
No lo entiendo.
RE: The Official WMU vs. Akron MAC SEMIFINALS Game Thread
I'm probably going to get killed on here because I am a Chip so I will choose my words wisely. I've read this board (which gets very entertaining, so I applaud you for that) for awhile just never posted - but here goes:
Western has a very good team, I actually thought you guys would make it to the finals and lose to Kent in a close one (how Akron keeps pulling this off year after year leaves me shaking my head), and your team is going to be very competitive for years to come - in fact I think the MAC as a whole will get stronger (had a great freshman class this season).
In regards to Douglas, he just lost his cool a little bit (just like Whitfield did against Ball St) and that unfortunately happens - but is understandable, especially when you see the emotion that those Douglas and Whit have. It's what make Whitfield a great player and what made Douglas so tough at the end of the season. The refs/league handled both instances appropriately in my opinion.
IF (and that is a big IF) I were a Broncos fan, my biggest concern would be Stainbrook and his mentality. With him and Howard, you have two big guys who were forces as true freshmen and will be pillars of your team for the next few years. Stainbrook just seems like he gets way too frustrated and in his own head during games. The last screen he set on Roberts was worse in my opinion than either of Douglas's acts just because it seemed like Stainbrook actually processed in his mind that he was going to go up and "chuck"/block/hard screen Roberts right in the back, who had no opportunity to see it coming and was not even into the ball on defense (the ball was still rolling on the court). I think WMU's success in the future could be limited if this player cannot mature.
RE: The Official WMU vs. Akron MAC SEMIFINALS Game Thread
PBAchip, it is too bad that you do not hear the coaches and others about our team. In regards to Stainbrook, the coaches have talked from day one about his competitiveness on the court versus his off court demeanor, and how he will have to "mature" in his approach to calls and his reactions. He is only 18 after all and they have constantly told him, that his behavour after a foul call actuals works against him. I've seen coach pull him as soon as he sees the attitude creep into his game.
Thanks for the thoughts and your comments. I will not take exception to them.

Is MD playing this week?
Yeah does anyone know if Mikey gets to play Wednesday or do we get to Jim Tressel him into the Wednesday's playoff lineup?
I think Mickey can play Wednesday as he was ejected from the game against Akron. The situation with Whitfield's suspension was due to the fact that he was not ejected from the Ball State game. Mickey was ejected so I believe he is eligible to play.

Cvetinovic is a junior but graduating this year and likely returning to Serbia to his wife (and I think his child).
