MAC got what they want...I feel bad for Ball State bout to get screwed over.
and for everyone saying there is always next year? no there is not, we will get far but we will get screwed over by the refs setting up a Kent St. Akron matchup in the end.
This tournament needs to be rotated from year to year instead of being in Cleveland each year. And how about a smaller arena too? Seagate Centre in Toledo was a fine venue back in the day and at least back then the place was full instead of about 30% capacity.
Frankly, I doubt the MAC could sell out Van Andel, but we're stuck in farking Cleveland in front of 6,000 fans until the end of time, apparently.

You know what might be another nice location is the Convo in Ypsi. The place is just the right size. I think toledo built a new arena downtown recently as well that's mid-size. The MAC tourney doesn't belong in an NBA arena. I see all of these smaller conferences playing in smaller arenas but they're sold out and the atmosphere is electric. We need some of that in the MAC.

the convo would be a good location or even The Palace...EMU has no fan base to show for, and the distance from cleveland to Detroit is the same as kalamazoo to detroit

Yeah no crap buddy. Go read my post again. I did not say he punched him in the head. Nice language too. I bet you fit right in over in Memphis.
With all due respect Chuck, it does seem like whenever you post something on this board I question whether you are a Chip in disguise.
Bingo............people have always wondered that of CN
I am a bronco alumni. Like I posted earlier, I'm not sure how anyone could accuse me of being a "Chip in disguise". I don't post much but I would hope that doesn't make me a chippewa fan. Would a chippewa fan have traveled to Chicago to watch WMU play in the tourney in '98 or the International Bowl in 2007? But go ahead an crucify me if thats what is important to you.
RE: The Official WMU vs. Akron MAC SEMIFINALS Game Thread
and it looks like somebody else is back again. Click on CN's reputation and guess which juvenile is back again. Then, click on that person who rated CN today. He registered on March 8 and it says, I root for: "Spartans."

I am on Chuck's side here...everyone has onced ripped on someone on the football, basketball, hockey, cricket or all other sport teams. I ripped on Douglas, Hawkins, Hutcheson in the past, does that mean I am a Chip?
Chuck you might have to take this one for awhile, everyone is just looking for something to take their frustration out on.

Thank you, I appreciate that. As for the person that rated me like 5 times tonight or in the past, not exactly sure what to say except if the mods can track IP addresses, go ahead and have them look at where that guy is located and where I am. I can say with almost complete certainty that we are probably almost thousands of miles away.

The thing is, the only time I see CN posts are when there is an open WMU wound, and his posts are usually negative, so I have a bad association.
20 wins. Six more than I predicted. And win or lose, this team had balance and swagger, and I totally enjoyed our season. Tough night, but thank you basketball team for bringing us fans to a better emotional place than we were at last year.
RE: The Official WMU vs. Akron MAC SEMIFINALS Game Thread
Chuck - not aimed at you. Since you are not around much you may not be aware of several juvenile delinquents that had been spamming our boards for grins and got banned.
One of them is the guy rating you multiple times today. He does it whenever he sees somebody getting flack from anybody. Kind of his childish way of getting back at the man, or something. He's fixated on janitors, hence the comments on your rating.

That is the problem for CN in a nutshell. If CN was around more often and his posts contributed something positive, perhaps that observation that H4H made couldn't be made, at least not from a factual basis.

Look I'm not going to try and change your mind, nor am I ever going to have thousands of posts on this board. I just don't have time for it. It doesn't make me any less or more of a WMU fan. And I'm one of those people that root for WMU while the people I graduated with continue to root for MSU or UofM. But go ahead and chase me away. I'm sure WMU could use one less fan to buy tickets and apparel.

I'm glad that somebody else spoke up. I've been feeling that certain posters around here chase off people that read this board and would be willing to post. I've crossed swords frequently with BP but mostly, these days I stay out of the fray. When he tries his put downs, I usually just ignore them and let him demonstrate his "superior opinion" and childishness. I'm assuming that others who read here also see it as it is. Some people are so desperate for attention that they thrive on all the havoc and negativity they create.
In the future, I hope you won't be hesitant to voice your opinion. I'm afraid that BP, DB, CD and a few others have chased away quite a few people that would make this community more vibrant. It's a shame but some of them enjoy the mob mentality.
