Years ago. India's nuclear as well. Didn't know that either?

I don't think Pakistan or India have ICBM that could reach us if that is the worry.

They could reach our allies in the region.

What makes you think Democrats hate Christians?

I didn't say all Democrats, homeslice. I said the ones that participate at Democrat Underground. Read it sometime. I know you, you wouldn't fit in and would probably be banned. Wanna try it? I've already won a bet from a Dem who's an AD Navy member at my site. There are only two here that would be accepted with open arms, The Other Greg Childers and RobertN.

I lurk over there every once in a while and many posters are resistant to Christian posts, there are many that accept it. In fact, they have sections devoted to religion and groups of Christians in sub groups. It's not as anti-Christian as you might think. If you charge in there like a bull in a china shop you will get flamed. Much like talking to friends about religion you must treat lightly and expect some resistance.

Never said they could reach our shores, J. I was referring to it not being a plausible option to send troops into Pakistan because they are a nuclear nation. We don't camouflage well when we're glowing.

And I posted this long, long ago. If we ever want to end the so-called war on terror by military means, we're going to have to become extremely unpopular both at home and throughout the world, which would probably lead to another world war.

True, but I contend that we are creating an entire group of Muslims in the ME that is essentially grateful to the United States for what it has done for them. The press just doesn't show it.

So then what is the evidence for your contention that we are creating more friends than enemies in the middle east?

Do you have any justification for that at all?

Because from my personal experience with the region, what you're saying is nothing but the same kind of wishful thinking that got us involved in this mess to which there are no good options at this point?

"By the way, it doesn't disturb you that, out of ALL major religions on the face of the planet, there's only one that is engaged in hostilities with all others? Jews aren't fighting Christians. Christians are fighting Hindi. Hindus aren't fighting Buddhists. Muslims are fighting them ALL. All over the globe, on just about every continent, there are Muslims killing other religions"

You forgot muslims are fighting muslims too.

And it's only a matter of time now until US airstrikes hits them. The only question now is whether Bush can hold off long enuf to maximize the benefit for the Republican nominee....

So, Bush is the reason Muslims are fighting everyone on the planet? I didn't know Muslims gave a rat's ass about Texas politics.

I read that you're assuming they're pissed at us because Bush is in office and that, somehow, he's the reason they hate us and he's using that to stay elected. What, did I read too much?

As for Tejas, I'm saying he was in Texas when they were attacking the hell out of us.

I'd say just a bit. If Bush calls for airstrikes in Pakistan...like any other war incident...it initially rallies the US behind the President and the flag. Until the loony lefties start their inevitable negative anti-American spin...
