2)Oh yeah... and any of you think there would be a USA without the French navy coming to trap Cornwallis in the Revolution? Nope... nada... zilch...
1) Ever heard of the Producers? Took home more Toni's in its first year than any other play has ever recieved. I think thats better than duplicating. And guess what? Its only in its second or third year!
2) They showed up for one battle. Took about 6 years to show up when they did promise us they would come. We were winning without them anyway. Sure, the war might have lasted 2 or more years, but the British were going bankrupt anyway and would have had to end the war soon. France did jackshit for us in the Revolutionary war.
How long has the Producers been on broadway? 2 years... Les Mis? Dozens and dozens...
How many showings have there been of The Producers? Not even close to Les Mis. Until The Producers is the most successful show ever on Broadway... Les Mis is the best.
Yeah... the French didn't do jackshit for us in the Revolutionary War. Besides ending the war... they didn't do anything. You're right!
Do you not get the point on the Producers? Three years and it already has more Tony's than Le Miz. In its first year it grabbed 18 Tonys. Thats 7 more than Le Miz has total! The Producers is the most successful show on Broadway and its only been there 3 years. And if you're gonna claim that the greatest show is the one that runs the longest, then Cats (an American play) has run the longest of any play on Broadway.
The french fought in one battle. Thats chicken-scratch compared to what the Continental Army did for 7 years. All they used at Yorktown was their navy, which still didn't do hardly anything. They didn't end the war for us, like we did in 1945 for them.

Ok, Gee, thanks for uhh, 225+ years ago France. You've been inept since then. This things you call necessary boggle my mind. How in the hell is ANYTHING they import here necessary? We can make our own damn cheese, wine, and movies? Give me a break. We have the Oscars, Tony's, etc., etc. What do they have, the Canne Film Festival? We are the leading producers of the best movies in the world. That's not debatable.
LOL! You keep neglecting the fact that WITHOUT FRANCE... there would BE NO USA TODAY.
We can make our own Brie, right? LMFAO! You're an idiot.
We can make our own French wine? LOL!
We can replicate the Mona Lisa, etc...? LOL x 2
Of course we lead the world in movie making... that isn't debatable... buddy... you don't understand... I do think that we dominate most of the markets in the world... many countries depend on us... it's a shame that your arrogance gets in the way of seeing that other countries are good for something.

Cats is not the longest broadway show ever. That would be Les Mis. Cats may have the most shows ever, but Les Mis is the longest running. Phantom of the Opera ain't too shabby either. I guess we should grade every musical on the awards it gets... instead of the prestige that comes from long standing interest in the musical and people wanting to come out and see it.
Couldn't the same logic be applied to WW2? We just came in and 1 battle saved France. Just like they came in for 1 battle and saved us in the Revolutionary War.

The show opened on Broadway on 7th October 1982 and went on to hold the unique position of being the longest running musical in both West End and Broadway history. CATS closed on Broadway in September 2000 and played it's final West End performance on it's 21st birthday on 11th May 2002. Les Mis opened in 1987 and ends its New York run on May 18 after 16 years and 6,680 performances. I think Cats wins.
What are you talking about one battle in WW2? Do you think the Battle of Normandy was just June 6, 1944? It was a month long campaign, Paris was two weeks, the Bulge was almost a month, and that doesn't even include the 3 months we spent in Germany trying to get to Berlin.

French Wine? Brie? Who cares about either? I didn't SAY that they offered nothing, I DID, however, say the way they are acting we could do without ALL of their BS. We don't NEED their cheese, plays, wine, or brie to live. We are living just fine without the "So-Called" best Cuban cigars....aren't we? Duh! You have no argument. You have lost this debate.
....and we don't need the damn Mona Lisa ANYWAY! The damn thing isn't even here, it's in the Louvre. What point are you trying to make? I'll trade that ugly ***** for something written by Thoreau, Whitman, Hemingway, etc. any day.
And idiot? That only shows your immaturity and is a sign of defeat. I know that we Conservatives have won this argument so there is no reason to denigrate to calling names.

Why do you have to keep declaring that you have won? ahem... denial... ahem
That post was probably the most skilled I have ever read on these message boards... you know why? Because you sounded both arrogant AND ignorant! WOW! That is special!
ANSWER ME THIS... why is Brie so popular in the US if "no one cares about it"? How is French wine such a successful industry in our country if "no one cares about it"?
GET OUT OF YOUR WORLD AND REALIZE THAT THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY YOU ARROGANT ******! It's people like you that breed Osama Bin Ladens... you arrogant schmucks who claim that our country is superior to every other... which it may be... but you don't brag about it...
as one of our best presidents said... speak softly and carry a big stick... you will go far.
Get a life, loser.

I consider myself a fairly big Conservative... and it's morons like you that give us smart conservatives a bad name.
What you don't realize is that French politicians are idiotic hypocrites... but France is a wonderful country if you get past their government.
But... I mean, isn't everything about government, war and survival?

Hey... buddy... where do you stand on the war on Iraq, terrorism, GWB, gun control, abortion, stem cell research, welfare and the economy?
I don't care if you think I'm conservative or not... I know my own political philosophy and I don't need an idiot telling me where I stand...
It's unfortunate how bitter you are... If you are that bitter that you can't even realize the things that France has... you are a complete and utter moron.
I've made my points and all you can come back with is arrogant and ignorant remarks like "Who the hell cares about Brie and wine?"

....so, at the cost of our dignity and honor, we should just forget everything they did to us , bow down, pucker up, and kiss their asses? They caused this BS, not us. They didn't just vote against us, they sent diplomats to Africa to "Buy" votes from Banana Republics like Camaroon.
