The Indians have trade OF Karim Garcia and RP Dan Miceli to the Yankees for a player to be named later.

Garcia was batting .194 with 5 homers in just 14 games. Miceli was 1-1 with a 1.20 ERA.

I still think Urbina will somehow find himself in pinstripes before the year is out.....although....

word is that Grady Little may try to work a trade with the Rangers that gets Ugueth Urbina back in Beantown. He doesn't have anything to lose and everything to gain, what, with his job on the line and all!

No he's not. He hit .297 last year with 16 HR's.

FYI: He was the main player in the deal that sent Luis Gonzalez from Detroit to Arizona. Detroit thought Karim > Luis

And we wonder why the Tigers stink so bad.

actually I think he isn't that good... he had a career year in those 51 games for Cleveland last year. He had 52 rbis in 51 games and a 299 avg. 52 rbis in a season is a career high, that includes 96 and 113 game seasons where he recorded 32 and 43 respectively. He had a good 51 games last year, and the front office was coming around to that... I doubt you'll here too much more from this one, he'll go back to the minors where he's spent most of the last 8 of his 11 pro years.... just my 2 cents though.

I think Miceli could help the Yankees bullpen. They need some more setup options.

yeah he should, he did a realy good job for us. rumors are that the trade was more than just for money, maybe some clubhouse chemistry.

Yeah and I think Cleveland just wants to go with a real young team and get some of those rookies playing time.

He's already paying off. He picked up his first save for them last night!

Just speculation here but I would say that maybe the Yanks want to bring him along slowly since he just recently came off the DL.

Then again, maybe he pitched back to back nights and they wanted to give him a break.

Another possibility is that George wanted to show everyone he made a good move!! :D
