This Giants losing streak putting you in a foul mood, swooshy?
yes, but i was serious. fielding % means nothing.
it's not just the streak, it's how awful we are. i never dreamed that bonds meant so much.

who cares, the all star game is a joke...
Most of those guys you listed deserve to start and won't. Tino Martinez will be starting at first... Someone tell what he has done? Tex is absolutely killing the ball and should be a shoe in for this, but this is what happens when you let "fans" vote. Maybe I should just say "punch out the chad next to the player from their favorite team." Who cares if he's having a terrible year, he play for the (insert team name here)!

That's just the way it's always been. I hate it too, but I doubt it will ever change.

Swoosh, compare the stats now.
Izturis: .295 avg 35 runs 1 homeruns 20 rbi's 97 tb 4 sb 6 cs
Lopez: .296 avg 35 runs 12 homeruns 40 rbi's 116 tb 4 sb 3 cs
So those of you that are mathematically challenged, Felipe has a better average, the same amount of runs scored, 11 more home runs, 2x as many run batted in, 19 more total bases, the same number of stolen bases as Izturis and he has been caught stealing in 3 less times.
All of this in 7 less games and 55 less AB's.

Four more hits for Lopez tonight, two singles, a triple and a homer. His average is now up to .321 and he now has 14 hr and 48 rbi's. Fans are clueless, Lopez should be running away with the starting shortstop position in the All-Star game.

I agree. When I watched him closely against the Braves a few weeks ago I realized how good he was. I also didn't realize he was such a wizard with the glove.

This alone is proof of how fan voting does'nt work
All-Star 3B Scott Rolen
.260 AVG | 5 HR | 22 RBI
Not All-Star 3B Morgan Ensberg
.287 AVG | 22 HR | 59 RBI

how can you say fan voting doesn't work? the whole point of the all star game, is to have the players the fans want to see. and rolen is who the fans wanted to see.

I am not for eliminating the fan vote, but I don't think you can have it if the ASG is going to have so much importance. Take away asinine the home-field advantage thing.

Exactly what GDawgs88 said, if you want the ASG to be a popularity contest fine, just dont have WS home field decided by it.

Good for the NL. Ensberg can help them more than Rolen right now.
