I would agree with that statement.

I would say that is a pretty weak excuse given that you've just moved into a new conference and came into it with 20 non losing seasons.......you had and still do have a very well established winning tradition down @ Marshall.

Kit Cat, Marshall is about to break their season ticket record this year.

Attendance isn't a problem.

That is because WVU @ Huntington is included in the season ticket package this year.

So, that explains why Marshall broke their season ticket record the past two years as well?

At face value, it sounds like something.

Reality is the Herd season ticket record set back in 1998 or 1999 was 13,700.

Marshall is reporting a record of 14,500 season tickets this year....a slight increase over Pennington years but really within context very little difference.

I would ask yourself if ticket sales are so strong why did Marshall only average 25k last year? That was lower attendance number than in most of the MAC years.

Marshall Season ticket sales.

YEAR SEASON SALES
1990 4,880
1991 8,745
1992 11,369
1993 12,733
1994 12,385
1995 12,679
1996 12,163
1997 11,960
1998 12,512
1999 13,550
2000 13,818
2001 12,950
2002 13,380
2003 11,595
2004 11,758
2005 11,886
2006 14,029

The record was set last year, and has already been broken this year.

I have already told you why Marshall averaged what they did last year, because of a 5-7 record. BTW, Marshall averaged about 26K last year, which was about the average for the MAC stay.

In a previous thread I even said MU would draw better playing Toledo or Miami, OH.

I don't see your point at all.

Okay, you've got the numbers out, let's read into the numbers.....

Marshall sold 11,369 season tickets in the first year in the new stadium (1992) as a 1-AA school.......almost the same amount was sold in Marshall's first year in CUSA (11,886) after a successful decade in the MAC.

Marshall set a record in 2006 for season ticket sales at 14,029.....this eclipsed the old record set in 2000 of 13,818 a whopping increase of 1.5% over the previous record total.

Two years ago, before Marshall joined CUSA I was told by a certain CUSA poster than within 5 years Marshall would be averaging 48,000 fans per football game in CUSA.......In response I said I will bet you 48,000 dollars that you won't be averaging 48k in 5 years.

LOL, kinda hard to average 48K when the stadium seats 38K.

Give it a rest.

Your obession with Marshall and C-USA is just plain insane.

Do you ever talk about Ohio football?
