Again, it looks like Trump is deep in thought there. Otherwise, he'd be slumped over and his arms would be dangling to the side, not resting on the top of his thighs.

But, yet again, Gitanole doesn't care.

RE: Trump, 80, cancels events, abuses journalist, reschedules events
Flying on Thursday to South Carolina to headline his 25th midterm rally this month, President Donald Trump and his political team made a decision, according to one of his advisers: Instead of holding an in-person rally this weekend in Kansas—a red state where Republicans appear vulnerable—Trump would deliver his closing argument there over the telephone.
....
The decision [to cancel events] relieved some political operatives on the ground, who were happy to hear Trump (80) would be engaging in tele-rallies that tend to be more scripted.

"Thank God," one top Republican official told CNN... "He hasn't moved the needle anywhere."

Less than 24 hours later, the plans changed again. The rallies in Kansas and Iowa were back on, both now scheduled for Sunday. And the frenetic pace that White House officials had signaled was abruptly ending was now ramping back up.
....
After signing off on the changes, Trump had grown irked over the media coverage about his decision to cancel his final rallies, those people said.

His irritation was apparent when he returned from South Carolina and lashed out at a reporter who questioned why he called off the events.

"You've been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect," Trump said when asked how he was feeling and whether he was sick of campaigning. The reporter..., Trump seethed, looked "like hell."

The president demanded the rallies be reinstated, the people familiar said, sending staff who had just worked to pull the events off the calendar scrambling to put them back on.
....
The episode only underscored how heavily Republicans' midterm prospects have relied on Trump's personal whims, from endorsements of his preferred candidates—some of whom are now struggling—to his signature rallies, which regularly veer away from the issues....
....
In the 21-hour stretch of time that the in-person events were canceled, several GOP operatives in battleground states quietly expressed a sigh of relief that the Trump roadshow would no longer be coming to their states.

October 23 Trump rally in Fort Myers, Florida

Many pointed out that Trump is less likely during tele-rallies to meander into the obscure topics that now consume major chunks of his rallies: the cognitive tests he claims to have aced, the White House ballroom, the bodies of various Republican men.

One Republican official said the Trump rallies were too time-consuming during a peak period when GOP activists would otherwise be door-knocking, canvassing and doing other get-out-the-vote activities.

I only read the website.

I don't watch the channel.

I always wonder why that matters, lol.

As for watching vs. reading, there is a trick to it. Opinion shows start at 7 pm. Ingraham, Watters, Hannity. All hype artists and unbearable. Can't stand them.

HOWEVER, during the day (and I have tried every channel on both sides except MSNOW), Fox comes closest to my version of fair news. They are all biased, of course, but at least Fox gives a voice to the left with a number of lefty commentators and of course, the AWFL from hell, Tarlov.

The best show hands down is Gutfeld. CNN has a few decent shows. I watch b/c it's more entertaining than reading to myself, lol.

RE: Trump, 80, cancels events, abuses journalist, reschedules events
He’s having heckler problems.

The frequency of these moments, according to some reports, factored into his initial decision to bail on doing personal appearances in Kansas and Iowa.

07-coffee3

[Image: AA2grYSy.img?w=768&h=512&amp...;amp;d=242]

Trump [who recently described himself as a dealmaker too savvy to “mock” others or call them names] was interrupted by a screaming heckler in the opening minutes of his rally in Daytona Beach, Florida—but microphones did not pick up what the protester was yelling from the rafters. The 80-year-old Trump’s meltdown, however, could be heard loud and clear.

“Shut up! Shut up, dope!” Trump raged. “Shut up, loser! What a loser.”
....
It was not the only interjection during the rally, with Trump labeling another protester as “paid.”
....
Trump has appeared visibly annoyed on stage as hecklers have repeatedly interrupted him this month.

In Kansas, they interrupted his speech six times.

In Ohio, a screaming protester reminded everyone: “Trump went on the Jeffrey Epstein plane!”

In Mississippi, a heckler told Trump to “shove that ballroom up your fat @ss!”

Not really.

RE: Trump, 80, cancels events, abuses journalist, reschedules events
Donald Trump, 80, is railing against Fox News in his rallies now even when they cover him. To the extent the outbursts can be said to be rational, this report explains why they happen.

President Donald Trump keeps holding midterm election rallies, and Fox News keeps choosing not to air the rallies live.

This programming decision has huge political and cultural significance. Fox News, America’s most-watched cable channel, has been one of Trump’s top ways to reach voters for more than a decade.

Trump is perturbed about it. But Fox evidently doesn’t think his speeches are worth showing in full right now, which speaks volumes about this political moment.

The implication: Fox agrees with the Republican candidates and strategists who are privately fretting about Trump hurting their chances in the midterms.

Fox’s response is to basically turn him off. Perhaps Fox patriarch Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan believe the network’s opinion hosts are better messengers for the GOP than the president himself, especially now, as Trump’s approval ratings are hitting record lows.
....
“Even the most popular shows tend to run out of steam after one season too many,” veteran Republican strategist Doug Heye said.
....
“This is coming from the top down,” a current Fox host said on condition of anonymity. The host said they didn’t officially know the reasons why, but said the conventional wisdom at the network right now is that “Trump doesn’t rate anymore.”

I love that Trump calls democrat politicians, media members, and any other leftist derogatory names. Those people are the useless dregs of society and should be reminded that is exactly what they are.

Before last week, Tristan Wright considered himself a pretty ordinary 22-year-old. He was, by his own description, something of a nerd. He loved music, competing nationally as a saxophonist. He spent his free time playing “Dungeons & Dragons” with friends, had recently taken up martial arts and worked in food service, sometimes pulling 12-hour shifts.

Growing up in Lubbock, Texas—about 300 miles northwest of Fort Worth near the state panhandle—he was the quiet kid who mostly kept to himself. He wasn’t an activist or someone who went out of his way to make his opinions heard.

But when he learned President Donald Trump was coming to town, Wright saw an opportunity he wasn’t sure he'd get again.

On October 27, thousands of people descended on the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center for Trump’s rally appearance in support of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton. Supporters lined downtown streets, many wearing MAGA hats and waving American flags. Food trucks and campaign merchandise vendors filled the area, while some supporters pitched tents and spent the night to secure their place in line.

Wright arrived with a different purpose, and within a span of a few hours, the self-described introvert had become one of the most recognizable faces of Trump's Lubbock rally.

As Trump addressed the crowd, Wright did something that likely would have surprised the people who knew him best. When the president paused while criticizing Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico for being vegan—a label that the candidate says is not true—Wright seized the opening and shouted:

“You’re a pedophile. You’re a rapist. You’re a pedophile. You're in the Epstein files!”

Secret Service agents quickly escorted him from the venue, and Wright recorded the confrontation on his phone, capturing the interruption and the intense moments that followed. In the moment, Trump suggested he was a "paid protester" and praised local law enforcement for how quickly they responded.

Wright said he hadn't been paid, though he had a tongue-in-cheek response to the accusation. “You know, I’m actually so glad you brought this up because I do have a confession to make,” he told USA Today. “I haven't been completely honest. I was in fact paid when I got home after the event. My dad handed me a beer.”

Trump has denied allegations of sexual assault and rape, including claims involving underage girls. He has also denied wrongdoing in connection with Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who was accused of sexually abusing and trafficking underage girls.
....
For Wright, the decision to confront the president wasn't an impulsive departure from his beliefs. Those had been taking shape for years, beginning in a household where questioning authority and thinking independently were encouraged.

RE: Trump, 80, cancels events, abuses journalist, reschedules events
As campaign rallies wrap up, who can forget all those moments of ringing presidential oratory?

07-coffee3

Clarksville, Tennessee

“I mean, it’s amazing. When you stand up here, it’s just like… the love. I could say the stupidest things and you clap. “Oh, I love you so …”

Syracuse, New York

“I’ve just known him just for a second. I’ve known him for a long time, years.”

“You can no longer say: ‘Mother—hi, mom’. It’s: ‘Hi gestating—hi, gestating. I love you so much, gestating.”

Youngstown, Ohio

“[Somalian people] come from a part of the world that only knows how to kill each other... Low IQ... don’t have pants to wear”.

“And I looked and I watched up and down. I looked at his @ss and I looked at the whole—and then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. He’s got these, like, claws.”

Wasilla, Alaska

“When you give somebody a pardon, they say that means—and I don’t know how this works and why it’s an expression, but it’s well used, that means you’re as clean as a newborn baby’s @ss. I never understood that. Why is that so clean? But they—they—they felt that was the definition of cleanliness.”

Bullhead City, Arizona

“Alex, good luck. You look good. Central casting, actually. You want a secretary of state to look exactly like that, a little bit nerdy, and that’s good.”

“I travel with more doctors than any human being. If people get sick in the audience, they don’t—they leave them alone. You know what they call them? Collateral damage. If that person right over there, a friend of mine—he looks like sh-t, actually, he looks—he looks like he’s ready to have a heart attack. If he actually had a heart attack, you know what my doctors would do that follow the president, all presidents? They would leave him alone. I’d say please help him. No, sir, we can’t leave your side. I said but he’s dying of a heart attack. Sir, he’s collateral damage. Can you believe it? They’ve got, like, six ambulances and they won’t use one for anybody else. Anyway—but let’s hope we never have that problem.”

Trump in the Oval Office during a medical emergency

Kalispell, Montana

“You know who would love [for a ban on guns] to happen? Some of the wild animals you have up here that like—that like eating you.”

“We talked about that... That was my first question, I say, ‘When you walk out in the woods here, do you always have a gun, Tim?’ He said: ‘Actually—actually, yes.’ I said: ‘What about you, Steve?’ He said: ‘Yes, we’re intelligent people.’

“You know, the animals would be very, very happy to see you without guns. They would gain a lot of weight. And leave the law-abiding Americans defenseless...”

Algae-themed Mar-A-Lago party

Youngstown, Ohio

“He’s a paid protester. They’re all paid. They get paid by the lefties in order to destroy our country. They’re scum. But he’s going back home to Mmm. He’s going back home to mom. Look at him... Oh, he’s gotta go on a diet! He’s a fat guy. Wow, wow. Gotta go on a diet fast. We all do.”

Park City, Kansas

“Now he goes home to mom and dad. They slap him around, they say I voted for that man.”

“How great is it to be at a Trump rally... Whatever you do, get out and vote so we can get rid of idiots like that... The Dumocrats, they’re so bad.”

“The amazing thing—these kids get paid $250 for that, and then they ruin their whole lives, ‘cause they get arrested... I don’t like to do it, actually, a lot of times I say, ‘Don’t do it.’ They get 250 bucks, and they scream out some stupid thing.”

Mississippi

“Oh, go home. Go home. Go home. So he gets paid—you know they’re paid protesters. They get paid $250 by—they think it’s Soros.”

Daytona Beach, Florida

“Shut up! Shut up, dope. Shut up, loser. What a loser. Get him out of here.”
