Trump, 80, cancels events, abuses journalist, reschedules events - Gitanole - 10-29-2026 09:41 PM The most likely reason for the cancellations is that Republican candidates in close races don’t want the self-proclaimed “Father of Fertility” visiting. The word “sick”, meanwhile, has become triggering for him. President Donald Trump has canceled planned rallies in Kansas and Iowa this weekend, just days before Election Day. .... The move comes as a new poll shows Kansas Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton holding a narrow four-point lead over Republican Sen. Roger Marshall in a closely contested Senate race. .... When Trump was asked about the move on Thursday, and whether it had been motivated by him being "sick of traveling." "You are sick to ask that question," the president snapped back. "Look at this guy. He's way out of shape," he continued, speaking about the reporter who asked the question. "I'm not going to Kansas because he's doing very well," Trump added, referring to Marshall. "I don't feel I have to go to Kansas. I feel perfect. You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell." .... The decision comes amid a competitive reelection race for Marshall, with polling showing Hamilton, a Methodist megachurch pastor, gaining ground in a state Trump carried by 16 percentage points in the 2024 presidential election. .... A CNN analysis of its latest polling found that most likely voters in Kansas viewed Marshall unfavorably. The survey also indicated that Hamilton was attracting support from approximately 12 percent of Republican and Republican-leaning voters, an unusually broad level of crossover support for a Democratic candidate in the states examined. https://www.newsweek.com/trump-cancels-kansas-rally-as-new-poll-shows-republican-trailing-democrat-12637635
RE: Trump, 80, cancels campaign events, abuses journalist - Gitanole - 10-29-2026 09:47 PM Facing a potential Democratic takeover of Congress in next week's midterm election, President Donald Trump blew up at a reporter who asked about his abrupt cancellation of a campaign rally originally set for Kansas this weekend. "Oh you're sick to ask that question. You are sick," Trump said October 29 when the reporter, who works for Reuters, asked whether the president canceled the trip because he's "sick of traveling." "Look at this guy. He's way out of shape," Trump said, adding that he's no longer going to Kansas because incumbent Republican Sen. Roger Marshall is "doing very well." .... "You know what the reason is? I don't feel I have to go to Kansas. I'm going to Florida tomorrow," said Trump, who is holding a rally in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Friday. "You've been following me for you two weeks. I feel perfect. You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell." ![]() Trump has held more than two dozen rallies in the homestretch of the midterm campaign as he looks to energize the MAGA base. Yet the president's popularity is underwater in many of the states he's visiting, including Kansas, according to polls, making his appearance a risk for midterm candidates. .... The scrapped plans comes as Kansas has become an unexpected battleground amid signs of a blue-wave election. Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton holds a four-point lead over Marshall (49% to 45%), according to a new CNN poll, in a state that hasn't elected a Democratic U.S. senator since 1932. The same poll found 57% of Kansas voters disapprove of Trump's job performance. Trump won the state by 16 percentage points in the 2024 election. Trump made the remarks after returning from a rally in South Carolina, where he campaigned for GOP Sen. Darline Graham, who is also in a razor-close race in a state that historically votes solidly Republican. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2026/10/29/trump-canceled-kansas-rally-midterms/92503423007/ RE: Trump, 80, cancels campaign events, abuses journalist - Gitanole - 10-29-2026 10:30 PM Forbes reports Mr. Trump, 80, has been staging rallies in smaller venues than usual. He recently announced a shift to “tele-rallies” in the final week of the midterm campaign. Despite his claim of “drawing the BIGGEST CROWDS at Trump Rallies in the history of Midterm Elections”, side-by-side comparisons of his turnouts with Barack Obama’s rallies have been stark. https://www.forbes.com/sites/saradorn/2026/10/29/trump-claims-his-rallies-are-drawing-biggest-crowds-in-history-despite-some-tiny-venues/ RE: Trump, 80, cancels campaign events, abuses journalist - UofMstateU - 10-30-2026 09:46 AM womp womp RE: Trump, 80, cancels campaign events, abuses journalist - MemTigers1998 - 10-30-2026 10:14 AM These dopey libtard reporters just love getting their teeth kicked in by Trump RE: Trump, 80, cancels campaign events, abuses journalist - Gitanole - 10-30-2026 10:26 AM RE: Trump, 80, cancels campaign events, abuses journalist - goodknightfl - 10-30-2026 10:36 AM (10-30-2026 10:26 AM)Gitanole Wrote: I remember when Joe was a conservative from Fl. RE: Trump, 80, cancels campaign events, abuses journalist - Gitanole - 10-30-2026 11:14 AM People have been speculating about the reasons for Donald Trump’s cancellations, but in the second half of the video Mr. Scarborough shares what he has been told by GOP campaign planners. The inside polling in those races, they tell him, show the races no longer competitive. Other journalists on his show agree. There is no reason to believe Mr. Trump’s presence would be wanted if the numbers were closer anyway. If you’re a GOP campaign planner trying to help your candidates, you already know you’re better off persuading Mr.Trump—however you do it—to spend the last several days in Mar-A-Lago. He can do his glitching and glute-staring there. RE: Trump, 80, cancels campaign events, abuses journalist - BirdHawkEagle - 10-30-2026 09:02 PM Don't care, Gitanole. Trump is still President and will be until January 20th, 2029. Your party is not removing him from office via conviction from impeachment. |
