He's likely about as smart as they come. He's ruthless.

That's because he wasn't taking advice from the Swamp critters. He did a lot of research for his second term. To take a Fox contributor and make him SoW shows that he didn't care where they came from as long as they did what he was looking for in them. So far, so good.

As far as using Bessent's sexual preference against him I don't think that they'd be that stupid, afterall, they're the main Alphabet supporters.

But, we would have avoided the disastrous Afghanistan pullout, the border crisis would have been smaller, and we might have avoided the Russia-Ukraine war. I think we still would have had the massive inflation though, because Trump & Biden are on the same page about deficit spending and pressuring the Fed to lower rates.
