So...you know what this thread is about and know that you don't care about it, but you click on it anyway likely reading some of the posts in it...and then take time to reply to say AGAIN that you don't care about it?

Probably should get that looked at. 01-wingedeagle

This one, by initiating the closure of Hormuz, certainly has exercised a level of control that no other has. Forgot that?

There are some species who are simply genetically ingrained to mark territory by leaving a mound of **** in their wake.

I’d take Shere Karen’s post as simply that.

And again, he's misquoting what's been said. Presidents don't control the daily fluctuations of gas prices...those are based on the market.

But yes, major presidential actions DO change gas prices.

It doesn't take much intelligence to look at the following and determine that the attack on Iran has caused the jump in gas prices we see today. The war began on 2/28:

2/27 $2.983 ██████████████████████████████
3/31 $4.018 ████████████████████████████████████████
4/30 $4.300 ███████████████████████████████████████████
5/31 $4.336 ███████████████████████████████████████████
6/30 $3.847 ██████████████████████████████████████
7/31 $4.106 █████████████████████████████████████████
8/31 $4.080 █████████████████████████████████████████
9/09 $4.225 ██████████████████████████████████████████

3,873kWh to travel 11,342 miles with a spend of $603. That’s a mix of mostly home charging at 13.5 cents a kWh and some super charging that averages out to 35 cents a kWH.

So at $4 a gallon gasoline it’s like driving a car that gets 75.3mpg. If all my charging was at home it would be the equivalent cost of covering the same ground in a car that gets 89mpg.

If I had a car that averaged 30mpg my costs are the equivalent of paying $1.59 a gallon to cover the same distance for $603.

Will you sell it before the batteries go out?

Battery is at 96% health at three years without me babying it (I’ve just been charging it to 100% at home as it’s LFP). I will return the lease and get another new EV, but the battery warranty is 8 years 120k miles so better than the warranty on my trucks cam phasers or 10 speed which have been giving up the ghost at a rapid rate in 18 to 22 model years.

I get the old heads screaming about EVs. Old trucks were built to last. But screaming about EV batteries doesn't mean much with what the Big 3 are putting out. My 2021 ford 10 speed **** the bed at 70,000 miles. Thankfully what I thought was the gimmick lifetime powertrain warranty replaced it.

Yeah. Chevy and ford have the same transmission problems (same transmission). Ford has cam phaser problems in 3.5. Chevy has engine problems. Dodge has lifter problems, but a rock solid transmission.

The F150 2.7L 2023 and up seems to be solid. The Ram hurricane with ZF transmission seems to be solid but not as much history. F150 5.0L 23 and up seems solid. I don’t know Chevy that well.

3/4 ton the dodge 6.4L / ZF8 is pretty good but you have the crapshoot of the rest of the stuff being stelantis. 24 and up F250 Godzilla got the 10 speed fixed, there are reports of issues with 7.3L cams but I think those are all commercial high idle hours applications and ford put on a variable flow oil pump that doesn’t work well with it. I wouldn’t idle any new engine for hours on end.

Went to a Raptor event in the UP of Michigan and 5 trucks in our group were at the dealership for cam phasers a month out.

Trump campaigned on lower gas prices, and just this week he told people gas was going to $2 a gallon after the Iran conflict is finished.

So Trump is the one telling people he can fix high gas prices, saying that the president doesn’t control gas prices is a cop out in this case.

RE: AAA - Gas Hits $4
It would be stupendous to see gas sink to, say, $1.50 a gallon.

First, that would help the budgets of many working Americans. And second, some on this board would thank President Trump, perhaps failing to remember (in this hypothetical) that they did not criticize him when the average per-gallon price was $4.22 (today's average, per AAA). You know, so as to be consistent ...

Leftists choose to die on the weirdest hills ever.

When Biden was POTUS, they were cheering for high gas prices because they wanted the middle class to be forced to turn in their gas powered car for an EV, which nobody that isn't rich can't afford.

Either that, or force the middle class onto public transportation, which again, 90% of the middle class can't afford because of how expensive it is.

I don’t remember a hostile nation shutting off the choke point to an appreciable percentage of the world egg supply either….

Nor do I remember a ‘special military operation’ of choice directed squarely at a country that commanded a stop valve to that same percentage of the world egg supply.

Imagine that.

Aside from that small issue —- eggsactly the same.

Do you remember an idiotic administration who paid egg farmers to immediately kill their entire stock if bird flu was detected somewhere in the area? Who needs a hostile nation doing it when you have the dumbazz Biden* administration in charge.

Did you also notice how quickly Trump fixed that?

And the genius savant Trump sparked off a closure of Hormuz pal. The subject of *this* conversation.

As opposed to your retard level arm spinning deflection on prominent display above with your idiotic whadaboutism and astounding fixation on literally almost always trying to deflect to some myna bird “WHADABOUT <something Biden>”. Good grief champ….. lolz,

Well, actually the transmissions are not exactly the same because Ford did some improvements so the Ford 10 speed lasts longer with fewer issues than the Chevy. It was co-designed but they each made revisions and make their own.

I have a 2.7l F150 and I am still (130k) miles loving it. After decades of 8cyl, I was skeptical but for gas reasons decided to give it a chance and I am glad I did.

Some of the manufacturers did "tweaks" in order to squeeze out a bit more mph to satisfy cafe standards, and if they had just left well enough alone they would have been rock solid. Chevy engines in particular had lifter issues due to this.

I had a F-150 10 speed transmission to go out after 7 years on my 2018. Granted, we were tough on it, but those bad boys are expensive. The V8 has been rock solid and gets decent mpg for a V8.

Im impatiently waiting for the F150 EREVS to be delivered.

Just plain ignorant on so many levels. You claimed to be some type of beef farmer but are oblivious to what bird flu can do to a flock of chickens?!? And how farmers have always dealt with their stock when the flu is found among them?

And then you ***** about Biden offering them aid for the flock they HAD to terminate to stop the flu while ignoring all the times trump bailed out farmers after he screwed them with his tariff nonsense? 03-rotfl

Lastly, you claim that somehow trump fixed the issue with egg prices? 03-lmfao Dude, egg prices eventually came down because farmers dealt with the issue and eradicated the flu allowing the flocks to recover and start producing again so we no longer had a supply issue.

I find it interesting the way you look at one thing myopically when it suits your agenda. You want to blame everything on Biden/Obama, etc. that happens while they are in office regardless if it was the result of something from a prior administration or just something they have no control over, but at the same time excuse those same things when they happen to trump.
