Yep, this right here. There are too many factions to keep up with and they all have different goals and different ideas of how to reach their differing goals.
That's why next time they target a tanker, we go hard after the Republican Guard and their leaders. Kill as many Republican Guard soldiers and leaders as possible. Plus blow up a few refineries.

It is why I have completely turned against Trump. We should have been doing that all along. We suffer (even if nowhere near as much as Iran) as long as this war lasts. This should and would be over if Trump would get it done. I see videos daily of IRGC having rallies and gathering in masses, waving their guns around, donuts in their toyota trucks and nothing happens. It is just like when ISIS was going across Syria and we just allowed them and we all raised hell about Obama allowing it, now that it is Trump he gets the same scorn. There should be one single working Iranian port in all of the Strait, and only for humanitarian purposes. There should be one single working airport runway in all of Tehran, only for humanitarian purposes. I get the whole "after the war we dont want civilians to suffer", but in the meantime we suffer and I would rather every single person in Iran to suffer than one single American. Finish it.

The one thing I dont like about Trump is he seems oblivious to the idea that a nation should treat its friends better than its enemies. Friends are going to be pretty important now that we are seeing we dont have anything close to the ability to fight two full fledged major wars at once. Not sure we can even fight one high intensity war for very long. We have let too much defense industry productive capacity atrophy for too long. We need to reinvest and rapidly raise production---and we need to do it in months---not years. We also need to examine how we spend our money. We probably need to look at substantially increasing spending on long range weapons we can produce at scale at low prices---so we dont have to use expensive high capability weapons on every target. To give credit where due, the defense department already has plans in place to do both----but its a 5 year plan---mostly from the "Affordable Mass Munitions Program" which should chip in over 28,000 missiles with a range of 100-150 miles or better. Combining that with the massively increased production of all our current families of strike missiles (including a 10X increase in Tomahawks). The idea is to produce around 60,000 long range missiles over the next 5 years. The problem is closing the missile gap 5 years from now may as well be a million years away given the array of threats on the board right now.

The Dems are disappointed because more supply will tend to lower gas prices and they want higher prices to support the man-made global warming scam. Everyone else should be pleased and proud of our military.
From the WSJ:
"Iran, by contrast, has been unable to move crude through Hormuz since the U.S. reinstated its maritime blockade in July. The stores of oil that Iran had stockpiled beyond the blockade could run out by mid-October, Kpler estimates, choking off a vital source of revenue as the country’s economy buckles under the pressure of sanctions and the strain of war."

I think it's time we give these motorcycle gangs some 12ga pump Mossbergs and a truckload of 00 buckshot so they can start taking out the guards at checkpoints. https://www.foxnews.com/world/motorcycle...ces-unrest

Hopefully the unrest spreads. That is the key to this entire situation, imo.
"...Trump’s decision reflects a sophisticated understanding of the regime in Tehran. The Islamic Republic is currently facing an acute internal economic crisis, a direct consequence of the sustained American maximum-pressure campaign.
The seven-day proposal was not a gesture of Iranian confidence; it was a sign of desperation disguised as a diplomatic overture. It was an attempt to buy breathing room, fragment the expanding international coalition against Tehran and project an image of being in control to its own restive population.
To grant Iran that reprieve would have been to throw a lifeline to an antagonist regime on the ropes. Clearly, this offer was only made because US strategy is working and Iran’s economy is cratering...."

This.
And since Trump is not running again in ’28, he will have truly Zero motivation or incentive to go easy on the IRGC and the ayatollahs, regardless of how the elections go in a few weeks. If anything, the incentive will be stronger to finish them off once and for all.

You would be correct. Oil prices are affected by many things including Russia's problems. Even without the Hormusing effect, they still would be high.
It's going to get really bad really quick. Go to the 10:20 mark...
Pretty sure one way we are providing escort protection is by placing armed US servicemen on board merchant vessels. I dont know if they are actually on board every ship making a crossing or if they are only being used on specially outfitted merchant vessels---but it appears we have US servicemen on non-US vessels in the area. We did this to some degree during the 2 Iraq wars---and it was being considered during the Biden Administration when the Iranains started swiping tankers in the gulf prior to Trumps second term. One indicator this may be the case is a recent revelation that over 30 US sailors and Marines were injured in an attack on the 14th, however no US ship or base was hit that day---but interestingly, a non-US Merchant ship WAS hit that day. It makes perfect sense that stationing troops on ships making the transit to protect the ships from small boat attacks is part of the escort protection plan for vessels taking the US sponsored Omani "southern route" through the Strait. If they are outfitted with Stinger missiles, they could even provide a last ditch line of defense against Shahed drones-----or possibly even anti-ship cruise missiles.

Speaking at the Red Rock Casino on Wednesday, Donald Trump paused his remarks on the "no tax on tips" policy to deliver what appeared to be a spelling lesson. "Nobody knows that 'dumb' doesn't have a 'b'," Trump told the crowd sincerely, before congratulating himself for coining the term "Dumocrats" as an insult for Democrats.

The promulgation of ignorance is destroying communication in this nation. I don't care if it was intentional or not. Stupid is not an art form. I also don't care if it comes from the left or the right as it is simply wrong in either case. How can we progress at anything if we don't hold higher standards, especially in basic communication. Calling out Trump for promoting it even in humor is quite appropriate. There is dignity in seeking to raise the level of integrity in communication. "Dumb" is just dumb. It's not folksy. It's not counterculture. All it ever illustrates is another display of the failure of public education in the United States. Since we communicate with language, negotiate with language, resolve with language, direct with language, and all of our civilization is dependent upon words holding the power of meaning, any misappropriation of a word, or deliberate breakdown of it from its intended purpose, or the sabotaging of the language to pervert terms and words to other purposes for the goal of confusion, is destructive. It is why the country has an official language and while we allow for other languages to be spoken English must remain the singular language of business and government.
Trump should know better. A troll of anyone or anything through the deliberate breakdown of a word or its meaning is a destructive, not constructive act. Those who would subvert your language would subvert your ideals, your laws, and the conduct of the people within your borders.
As a civilized people we have not taken this threat as seriously as it should be taken. And it shows in our streets daily. Shame on anyone who deliberately misuses our language.
It seems the IRGC has substantially increased the number of ships they are hitting on the US sponsored southern Omani route---and it does not seem that we are responding at all. It does not appear we are even bothering to hit the missile launch sites that are sending the increased volume of missiles across the Strait. Cant say Im a fan of just sitting on our hands like this and being 100% defensive until after the mid-terms. Sure hope whatever we have planned after the mid-terms really knocks em into next month.
