Wow, I didn't think I would wake up to news like this. The world has gone crazy everywhere.

The American culture I grew up in is long gone.

Obviously his politics were toxic as it gets and he was a self described atheist, but he made 2 of my all time favorite movies in Stand By Me and the Princess Bride.

What a terrible way to die and realize you were flat wrong about all your cosmic views. I don't wish either of those on anyone.

I don’t follow celebrity news. But I’ve always been puzzled by the disconnect in someone who was so clearly tuned in on comedic nuance being so unaware of political and cultural differences. Maybe, just maybe, his apparent hatred for half the country was an outlet for problems that he couldn’t solve at home.

Or maybe not. I obviously don’t know.

This weekend was one hell of a weird news cycle.

his politics were shite ... however, the guy reminded me of my goofball friend from Michigan that did Broadway in NYC ... yeah, he and his wife were flamin' libs, too, and estranged from their son...

my experience has been those sorts are too selfish to sacrifice what is req'd to raise a "family" proper .... toss in hollyweird, and it's usually a 'script for disaster'...

regardless, from meathead (perfect role and moniker) to Spinal Tap and many others, the guy had the chops to make some great movies over time ... to that I can only pay homage in passing ... nobody other than the evil deserve to go out that way ... RIP!

You see, imo, sometimes politics just needs to be pushed to the side. That's just me though. It looks like his own kid murdered him and his wife. That's terrible, imo.

Maybe he should’ve been for more knife control instead of being an anti 2A whack job.

the world is better off, this morning. Both sides needs a lot of those, OLD, hateful, people to just check on out. I will have nothing good to say when Mitch Mcconnell joins him.
