Senate dems are starting to cave on the shutdown
Thune said yesterday that there were some senate dems "behind the scenes" that were more than ready to open the government back up.

Now some are starting to say it publicly.

If the Dems weren't so stupid, they would understand they could put the Republicans on the spot by opening and then challenging them on Obamacare subsidies. But they live in a bubble where everything they do is great.

I wonder... do you think these dems making the decisions for the party gather in a room and lament the fact that nothing seems to work.

"Man! I thought for sure we had him this time!"

"What the heck?!?! Our base is turning on us?"

"It's like everything we do backfires on us."

Naw... self-reflection and a change of course is completely foreign to t

Nobody ever accused the Dems of being smart, just evil.

That's what the Repubs have asked them to do. Open the govt and debate subsidies afterward. The Dems can end the shutdown at any time yet refuse to do so because of some so called "leverage" that is getting them nowhere.

They're too dumb to realize that, apparently.

Exactly.

Go to a protected perspective dome like Reddit and they swear the entire country blames republicans for wanting the shutdown. 03-lmfao

They aren't serious people.

Yep, however, as usual, they are expecting their followers to simply believe what they are being told which is everything is the Repubs fault. They are really hoping their followers don't have a clue about how the Senate actually works.

I’ve predicted before the shutdown would end next Thursday or Friday (6th or 7th November), and for now I’ll stand by that.

senior citizen medicare part b going up 11.6% from 188 to $206 while they get 2.3% increase in SS. Why should Obamacare be different. people on it can't afford to use it as is, 5k deductable.

RE: Senate dems are starting to cave on the shutdown
Ultimate blame lies with the Dems -- Obama, Senate and House -- who gave us ObamaCare.

But I still assign blame to the incoming 2016 Republican Senate and House majorities. They campaigned on "Repeal and Replace", but the knew Trump would never win and Hillary would never sign into law, so they didn't even have to have a plan. Empty promises, lies, in order to get elected.

Worthless scum.

And the reason I voted for Trump to drain the swamp.

The Dems can't wait that long. That will start a fire they cannot easily put out.

Friday night around 11PM - they will magically find a reason to agree.

I hope that’s true, Eldonabe. But I’m just not sure they will cave that quickly.
