RE: Rasmussen Poll - Who's Better President - Trigger Warning
As some of you know, I have not posted in this thread that I think Biden was a better president than Trump. And on that theme, I’ve never posted on the Spin board that the Democrats are “better” than the Republicans, liberalism is “better” than conservatism, etc. Or vice versa.
I am politically independent with both liberal and conservative views. I have voted (in both state and national elections) for Republicans, Libertarians, independents and Democrats.
Trump has done some positive things and Biden did some negative things. And vice versa.
For those who asked me to provide some accomplishments/efforts during the Biden Administration — moves that I supported and found positive …

Joe Biden was the WORST PRESIDENT in my entire life. He was worse than Jimmy Carter and that’s saying a lot. He lapped Jimmy and never looked back.
As far as lists of things Biden did wrong or maybe they were orchestrated flubs who really knows I could write a novel on all the incredibly grossly stupid blunders his Administration did.
The Inflation Production Act bankrupted a lot of people and businesses. He was the most inept President to ever hold office. I’m sure being riddled with dementia doesn’t help either.
Where is Biden currently btw?
As for Trump if you can tune out his bloated self sense of importance and ignore his outlandish childish temper tantrums and actually look at his substance you’ll get a clearer picture of how well things are actually going.
I have dealt with many Trumps over the course of my business career and stopped listening to their bluster long ago and only focused on their actions. Still remember when I was green and just starting out this guy really got to me and was cursing so I slammed my phone down thinking I would never do business again with him. The very next morning he calls and says stop taking everything personal and loaded my cart with a ton of work.
That’s Trump in a nutshell just seeing what reaction he can get being in the spotlight and staying relevant.

Getting to it as soon as possible, BTF. I also hope to offer some things I felt Biden did well (though I need to have my HAZMAT suit ready to don related to the toxic hammering I will receive from some on the board).
My job is calling.
But quickly ...
... there are MAGA conservatives and then, like my sister and her husband, there are "conventional non-MAGA conservatives." Most MAGA conservatives, from what I understand, believe the election was stolen. They also tend to be (though there are many exceptions) evangelical Christians (who tend to want as much conservative Christianity in our public buildings, culture, etc., as possible). Lots of MAGA do not want abortion legal in any manner. And, of course, MAGA folks typically are very loyal to Don Trump.
Many conventional conservatives, in contrast, don't much care for Trump and are willing to criticize him (though just about all of them voted for Don T.). They don't feel the election was stolen and do contend the protestors were rioters, with many having committed crimes. They often favor a separation of church and state. Like my sister and her husband, they are very conservative with issues involving taxes, business, the military, police, etc. But they favor a woman's right to choose up to the first trimester.
So that's a quick overview comparing MAGA conservatives and non-MAGA conservatives.
Think you are totally off on abortion. That’s not a MAGA thing. And plenty of us conventional conservatives also know the election was stolen. It’s just hearing the facts and using your brain.
RE: Rasmussen Poll - Who's Better President - Trigger Warning
Remember, the most ballots in the history of the Republic were cast during a worldwide pandemic, and then the next national election the numbers went back to a normal progressive increase of the number of ballots to what it should be.

"Support of Ukraine" Dazzle
Oh but of course. After all but telling Russia that they COULD take a bit of Ukraine what else could he have done. I heard his speech and to me that sounded like, "hey Russia, if you want to take a bit of Ukraine you're welcome to do so".
He was hoping that Russia would and he got his wish. He had to make friends with the military industrial complex. There's a lot of money in furnishing arms to a country and guess what we don't even have to be involved in defending it with troops.
I see Ol' Foggy as a total failure as president because guess what? In the last years he wasn't, the government was controlled by surrogates who were beholden to Soros and others getting rich through deals with the government, i.e., the pharmaceutical industry during Covid.

I'm sure some conventional conservatives think the election was stolen. They simply can't prove it.
My sister and brother-in-law are "traditional conservatives" who live in a very conservative (and wealthy) part of Nashville. Just about all their friends are conservative. My sisters says none of them believe the election was rigged. But, of course, these are not hard-core Trump supporters. They simply voted for Don T. because they always want a conservative in the White House.
In contrast, folks who value Trump the man as much as they do their own personal views and convictions ... they do, indeed, feel the election was stolen.
Two very different groups of conservatives.
I know leftists who think the right stole the election in which Clinton lost to Trump. Of course, they have no proof. I just roll my eyes when they make such insane claims. I tell them "Hillary lost. Get over it."

There are many on the left who simply can't give Trump props for one single thing, olliebaba.
I've got a good friend who hates Trump. I asked him recently, "Don't you think Trump deserves some credit, for example, for securing the Southern border and for giving hard-working service industry folks no tax on tips? I sure do." My friend sat there, stammered, made up some BS. He couldn't give Trump any credit. That's just sad.
And there are some on this board (not saying you) who will never give Biden credit for anything. Biden could perform the Heimlich maneuver on a relative of one these haters, saving that relative's life, and that Biden hater would still say Uncle Joe is "of the devil." (Of course, it would be nutty to see Joe Biden performing the Heimlich maneuver on an attractive woman and simultaneously sniffing her hair).
Haters will hate. On the left and the right.

I will..
any military / mulllah dictatorship .
Any communist/socialist run country.
Any country that takes away freedoms from it's people.
And no I will not give Biden credit for anything.. between the Ukrainian deals and payoffs, and Iran payoffs. He was the WORST president of our time. Inflation at it's worst back to .. back BEFORE Carter. (and I was only a kid, but I knew how bad Carter's tenure was so that's saying something.).
I will give Obama more credit than Biden for getting stuff done (again, Osama; deportations (although he let too many in); ) although you will never ever convince me the ACA was nothing more than the govt's attempt to control the medical/insurance industry and that he WANTED to divide this country on Race.

As to the trashing ...
I've hammered on such countries in previous posts (maybe, to be fair, you've never see those post). I don't trust China, Russia, North Korea, Iraq, etc. I fear Islam.
I meant I will not trash countries that are Westernized, capitalist and offer freedom of speech and religion. I am pro Canada, Australia, U.K., etc.
We're on the same page.
As to my other point, I was speaking in a general manner (and with a bit of absurdity, to be fair). I love this country but I don't want to be xenophobic and prideful related to living here. I'm blessed to be an American. That's all I was saying.
As to Biden and Obama, I respect your right to not give them much (or any) credit. I simply take a different approach. I will give most folks I dislike credit for at least a few positives if they deserve it. I can't stomach Hillary Clinton but I credit her for being well spoken and seemingly having been a loving mother.
