Hail Trump.

Not dumb. Highly narcissistic.

He is a text book, classic case of narcissism; yet he is still better than anything the Dems can muster up. Sad really....

How many rich successful people don’t have a case of narcissism. The difference I get with Trump is he’s affable and likable. Even those that don’t agree with him politically like him.

Personally most rich people I’ve met are asses.

I watched something on one of the financial networks about Texas Roadhouse and their explosive growth since COVID. Was a fascinating story. I'm not a steakhouse guy, so know nothing about them but they are killing Outback and Longhorn.

Cracker Barrel does not microwave their food.
There may be frozen pre-breaded items like okra or catfish filets, or frozen prepared mac n cheese, but neither would go in a microwave.

Kent’s brother Brian was my best friend in school. Kent got a full ride track scholarship to UNC. Brian was like me. He worked and went to school.

In 1991 or 92, Brian asked me if I had 5K and wanted to buy into a restaurant his brother was starting. The restaurant would have a Rocky Mountain ski lodge vibe. It would be called Buckheads. I didn’t have the money. Raising 3 kids at the time. Money was tight.

To make a long story short, Kent finally got his money and started Buckheads. It was a big success.

In 1993 Kent and the same group of guys took the money they made from Buckheads and started Texas Roadhouse in the Greentree Mall in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The rest as they say is history. Every time I go into Texas Roadhouse I think about what could have been.

We lost Brian to cancer a few years ago. Kent committed suicide a couple of years after having complications from the Covid vaccine.

I hit all 50 about 10 years ago. I've actually been to every single state multiple times, except Alaska, where I spent a week once.

That's gonna hit the books. I have driven waaaaay too much this past week between Nashville/Knoxville/Atlanta. They have a ton of billboards up with the new logo and I have even seen some of the interstate signs for the stores with the new logo.

Though I will say their billboard for cheesy, stacky, crunchy made me really want to go this weekend. I hate most of their food, but as long as willing to ask for forgiveness from my triglycerides, country fried steak(with gravy on top of course) with a side of their hashbrown casserole is bomb.

Breakfast at CB by the fireplace in winter is bomb, too. Especially on a weekday morning when all the crumb grabbers are in school.

Maybe TMI, but I struggle to eat breakfast at CB during actual breakfast hours. After spending a night with Lucy my friend took me to breakfast while I was still dancing and it was just way too much. I went probably 10 years later for family get together after a wedding and it was unsettling. Dinner time, no problem but something about the early hours and smells just ticks a corner of my brain I'd rather leave alone.

04-cheers

Different strokes...I enjoy breakfast there. The other two meals are average to mediocre. But at least you can get meat and veggies there. Most restaurants don't know what a veggie is, outside a salad.

Cracker Barrel scraps new logo design, keeps 'Old Timer' after listening to customers

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/cra...-customers

Hey BTF, Cracker Barrel is claiming they don't microwave their food. This quote at the end the above article:

Quote:Those values, the company said, are "hard work, family, and scratch-cooked food made with care."

Personally, I don't really care, but I have been a customer ever since they opened in the 60s, and I don't believe they microwave their food.

Also, if they do, they sure as hell take a long time to nuke it, even with nobody in the restaurant. Maybe some store manager did that somewhere, but I don't buy it as a normal practice. I nuke food all the time at home. I think I can tell the difference.

They sure as hell don't nuke their breakfast, lol.

Okay, Andy. You've convinced me. I need to get Cracker Barrel another chance. I will do just that...someday.

Anyway, Fox News just showed that Cracker Barrel's stock just rose back to over $61 a share as of a couple minutes ago. (And about three and a half hours before the opening bell today.) So if y'all bought when it was down, congrats. You made some money.
