Cracker Barrel loses $100M in cap value in one day
Yesterday. Ouch. Go whatever, go broke.

If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it, dummies.

Quote:Cracker Barrel's 2025 logo rebranding triggered a 12% stock plunge, erasing $100M in value after alienating traditional customers.

- The backlash highlighted risks of neglecting heritage in innovation, as conservative critics framed the change as part of a "woke" agenda.

Politics aside, this is what happens when you stick your middle finger at your customer base. CB’s brand at its core is to be that place that gives its customers that feel of when they went to eat at their grandmother’s house in rural America. It’s ‘Merica personified, and there is nothing wrong with that. Strip that away and you got nothing.

But, When you have been indoctrinated and brainwashed throughout your educational career especially white liberal women you have to be a fake moral busybody and set the world straight. Never mind your moral compass is rusted and cankered.

Unfortunately, common sense leads others to abandon your cause.

No doubt, and this is the classic case of someone feeling they are smarter than everyone else in the room because of their credentials, where they are from, which social class they belong to, etc.

What did they do except remove an old man in a rocking chair off the logo?

Leftists want to kill all white heterosexual conservative Christian Americans. They may succeed in doing so should a AOC/Jasmine Crockett ticket win in 2028. Mark my words, and don't say I didn't warn you.

You just described all leftists in a nutshell. They think they're better than everyone else, and they want to kill those who they disagree with.

RE: Cracker Barrel loses $100M in cap value in one day
I reported on this for the publication for which I work. The stock plummet was rather dramatic (though I've seen worse).

For those who don't know: Volume was heavy, as about 3.4 million CBRL shares changed hands Thursday compared to the daily average of approximately 1 million shares, according to Yahoo Finance.

When a company sees three times the number of shares trade compared to the daily average ... wow.

To be fair, Cracker Barrel had to make some changes (revenues have been lagging for some time now). But the company seems to have hugely miscalculated.

Is there a list of companies with progressive female CEOs? If you had a put on Cracker Barrel before the rebrand went public, you would have a nice ROI

I guess I don’t. Companies update their logos all the time & obviously Cracker Barrel felt the need to do the same. The old man on the porch wasn’t iconic like Col Sanders & the logo was dated. I don’t really care for the update but good lord how thin skinned the MAGAS are. Cracker Barrels sales were flat… their concept is dated… companies that do nothing die. Had they renamed themselves the Barrel and removed the name Cracker then you’d have reason to be upset.

Now they are just another dying chain restaurant with no identity.

Forget about the politics of attacking something popular in red states, why go to Cracker Barrel now vs say Red Robin?

Chain restaurants are all sacrificing their identity in trying to tap into different market shares..in the end they all just isolate their base and end up bland, boring and monolithic

What is special about Cracker Barrel now after the rebrand? Its another faceless, bland chain serving the same food as everyone else

Is this a full rebrand or just a logo change? I mean, is the country store still going to be there selling the same stuff? I haven't been to a CB in years, and last time I went there I didn't even eat, just wanted something from the store.
