It’s the wholesale price of 30 dozen cases (360 eggs)
Probably in truckload quantities paying freight at the pickup point.

Should see the price come down maybe it’ll translate to our brand which is still 8 ish bucks a dozen

If you're paying $8 for a dozen eggs right now, even the high-end brands, then you really are a moron.

Nah if you want organic pasture raised eggs from a reputable brand that’s what you’re paying. Local farmers market starts next week can get farm fresh eggs but they’ll probably be more. You can find your nearest high end grocery store and check yourself

I was in Fresh Market a couple of days ago and I go to the farmers markets almost every Saturday. Like I said, it's complete moron or bald-faced liar. You pick.

I just checked. He's right. Current price is between $7.50 and $8.

Which begs the real question. Does anybody really believe that those eggs provide 3 times as much benefit to the human body as the regular eggs at $2.50?

Well go in there and look for organic pasture raised eggs. Not organic only, not pasture raised only. Organic and pasture raised eggs. Let me know your findings. You can look up Whole Foods prices online to confirm. I have one near my house. I have a sprouts very close. Soon we’ll have a wegmans and we have a boutique grocer. I’m not going to go to a different grocery store to save a buck on the eggs I’m buying. They cost what they cost in my part of Charlotte. If they are cheaper for you in Memphis then bully for you, but you have to live in Memphis, which for me I’ll keep my $8 eggs

Yep. Pretty much classifies Ball Boy as a moron, rather than a liar.

I live in Tulsa. If you are actually paying $8 per dozen, and you're being honest, then that just leaves the other option. Congrats?

Yep. The best eggs are the ones that come straight out of the hen house to your kitchen. I grew up on a bunch of those.

I do give ballyboy credit. He changed the conversation to the fact that he can still spend $8 on a dozen eggs and got us off of talking about how far the prices have dropped.

Oh even better Tulsa lol.
I’ll take you thinking I’m a moron to be able to eat the eggs I like.

There are nutritional benefits but pasture raised is not just a marketing term. Each hen has to get a predefined amount of pasture to roam (100 sq ft?) with no cages and can eat their natural diet and not just solely the Soylent the corporate farms give them.

We probably eat 30 eggs a week so call it 3 dozen and you’re talking about less than $1k /yr ^ to regular eggs to give the hens a better quality of life and better nutrition.
