“Columbia let antisemitism run amok to cater to lunatic fringe and paid provocateurs. Leadership allowed those ******** to take over the campus and terrorize Jewish students,” Fetterman wrote in a Friday post on social platform X.
“Now, Columbia pays for its failure and I support that.”

RE: Antisemitism grades
Thankfully the courts have again stepped up to stop (temporarily at least) the fascist operation that threatens to deport even legal immigrants.

Question for you Trump folks -- which group would you next like to disappear without legal processes?

Your use of the word “fascist” does not make it true. What evidence do you have to support that allegation? What fascist government has ever focused on reducing the size and cost of government?

This has zero to do with reducing the size and cost of government.
This thread is about "antisemitism" and the witch hunt for people who disagree with the party in power.
From Michelle Goldberg -- "If someone legally in the United States can be grabbed from his home for engaging in constitutionally protected political activity, we are in a drastically different country from the one we inhabited before Trump’s inauguration." ( https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/10/opini...57elrWazlj)
I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for Hamas (none, actually), but the gross violation of First Amendment rights in this instance is frightening.
Who's next?
Carrying on like this makes us no better than China, Russia, or a host of other totalitarian states.

So, then, people who think antisemitism is good? Tlaib, et al? The people in power seem to think antisemitism is bad.
You are correct that this thread (that I started) is about anti-semitism.
But it has nothing to do with any so-called witch hunts, whether they be for or as previous, against certain political entities. That is something you in particular have tried to bring into the discussion. But, as you noted this thread is about antisemitism, period.

This is about the illegal detention of someone (Mahmoud Khalil) exercising First Amendment rights. I probably vehemently disagree with what the gentleman said, but defend his right to say it. So do many Jewish Americans and others.

As for the term fascist, I dont think I have ever seen the wholesale and wide attack on specific law firms via executive order ---- all simply because they happened to have represented your political opposition.
Oh, and I forgot, that attack was dressed up in the pretext of the penalty being assessed against the members of the law firm by the government is because of 'DEI practices' at the firm.
Even the pretext is sickeningly wrong, that is assuming that the paper thin pretext is the actual pretext.

Looks like the Democrats are dead set on shuting down the government.
I wonder if the American people will hail them as saviors.
Maybe the Rs could moderate their own bill to get one through. But all the Dems fault. Especially when the Rs control both houses. Lolz.
The steps and efforts you take to demonize one side and one side alone are truly astounding. Double lolz.

I would love to see a regular "Question Time" here
Maybe throw in some Taiwanese fisticuffs.
I Agree. Back to the days of Davy Crockett. But I don't know if Jasmine Crockett can throw a punch.
I'd back her in a bare knuckles match over any of the R powderpuffs.

I guess you mean those Nazi stormtrooper powderpuffs, but in any case, I'll take Nancy Mace in a match against most of the Democrats, including most of the men.
You are amusing.
Mace is all hot air, she would float away at first contact.
Send Lindsey Graham over for a well-deserved whuppin'. He'd go down with a poof of air.
I see a fundraising idea in the offing... Congressional Deathmatch!

Agree that this dude’s views do not align with mine, but this is a real kick to the nuts of the 1st Amendment. Yo, Republicans… aren’t you guys supposed to be the defenders of our Constitution? Seriously, what gives???

Enamored by this snippet -- "According to Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin, Khalil was arrested “in support of President Trump’s executive orders prohibiting anti-Semitism.” How in the world can this be grounds for an arrest?"
In this world --- apparently. it. is. grounds. for. *arrest*. to. be. against. Trumps. EO. on. anti-semitism.
Cool cool.
Almost as cool as the Tesla commercial at the White House today.

I would think most people here would prefer an “A”. I would.
But I was also relieved we didn’t get an “F”.
Depends on the grader/grading system.
Didn’t investigate the system used.
Knee-jerk reaction without knowing anything is that it basically graded which “side” universities came down on during the protests and therefore being somewhere in the middle (a “C”) would seem about right?

It also depends on the definition of “antisemitism”. I don’t want Rice to get an “A” on any rating system that defines criticism of Israel as “antisemitism “.
