Returning to my program of ignoring certain people. Don’t want to encourage bad behavior.

Bad behavior = pushing back against something that you said which had no factual basis?

Not surprised that is your position.

RE: Antisemitism grades
I have taken DNA tests that show I have a certain amount of Native American ancestry. Waaaaaay more than Elizabeth Warren. So at some point my ancestors had their lands stolen from them.

Does that ancestry and history give me the right to rape, kill, and kidnap for ransom the current inhabitants of my ancestral lands? Simple yes or no question.

If yes, should the students at various Universities support me in my violence? How about various Members of Congress?

While we all ponder these questions, y'all get your asses off my land.

Hamas tortures

All you pro-"palestineans" need to read this to see who you are really supporting.

Sharabi told the council that when he got back to Israel after spending 491 days in Hamas captivity, he weighed just 44 kilograms (97 pounds). He spoke about the pain of starvation and how, through the beatings — including one so severe his ribs were broken — he was consumed by hunger.

Sharabi testified that he was only given a pita a day and would be forced to beg for extra food. That was when he told the council where the U.N. humanitarian aid was going.

"I know that you discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza very often. But let me tell you, as an eyewitness, I saw what happened to that aid. Hamas stole it," Sharabi said. "I saw Hamas terrorists carrying boxes with the U.N. and UNRWA emblems on them into the tunnel. Dozens and dozens of boxes, paid by your governments, feeding terrorists who tortured me and murdered my family."

Many hostages who have returned say Hamas would eat in front of them as torture, never giving any food to the captives.

"When you speak of humanitarian aid, remember this: Hamas eats like kings while hostages starve. Hamas steals from civilians. Hamas blocks aid from reaching those who truly need it," Sharabi told the council.

RE: Antisemitism grades
Some of you need to read this.

Oct. 7 denial

Yet ideology is in there somewhere. All the victims were innocent, but the October 7 killings were not mindless. Two sets of ideas combine. The first, mainly a Muslim view, is that white Christians, chiefly the British – with their accomplices/controllers the Jews – conspired to break the Muslim ummah (global community) by inventing the Holocaust and giving the Jews the Holy Land, thus causing suffering unparallelled anywhere else ever.

The other, mainly a white Western view to be found in places like David Lammy’s Foreign Office, the BBC and our universities, is that first the British and then the Americans (also goaded on by “Zionists”) wished – and still wish – for racist imperialist reasons to crush the wretched of the earth. And for this, we must do eternal penance.

This strange coalition of ultra-strict, pseudo-religious non-European fanaticism and ultra-liberal European guilt has a division of labour. The fanatic, usually non-white, rushes in to kill. The guilty liberal, usually white, stands ready to excuse such actions. In a free society, this is a literally lethal combination.

Who here is excusing any actions carried out by Hamas?

I certainly will not excuse war crimes by Hamas or Israel. Neither side is blameless, and it is horrific.

Classic definition of a strawman argument.

Tilting at windmills…

In addition to his explicit attempt to conflate 'pro-palestine' with pro-Hamas.

Scorecard for the day:
Strawman ---- 8/10
Conflation --- 10/10

The attempt to smear the left, while present, is weak by his traditional efforts. Only a small broad smear of liberalism overall.

That 3/10 will deduct from the daily tally.

As is the absence of any mention of TDS -- big hit to the DABS (Daily Aggrieved Broad Score)

Pretty much the same ones that Poland committed when attacked by the Germans. Or the same ones the Us committed after Pearl Harbor. Dying, fighting back, etc.

Bigger question for me is, What justifies the Hamas actions of October 7 ?

My answer is - nothing justifies it, and efforts by the anti Israel factions to justify it are fruitless.

RE: Antisemitism grades
I think the biggest problem with Trump, although the blue skins won’t admit it, is that he takes action. He keeps, or tries to keep, his campaign promises. And he wastes no time doing so.

Quite a contrast to our former politicians, of both stripes. Obama and Biden said they wanted more efficiency - did nothing about it. Reagan wanted to abolish the Dept of Education - didn’t happen.

We have never had a Prez take action this fast and this thoroughly. This spreads alarm among those who are afraid of change - mostly those who voted against him.

I don’t agree with everything he says and does, despite the fevered protestation of the AntiTrumpers. But I do think it is time for a change, and the other candidate who had a chance said she would not change a thing.

I have never been a fan of tariffs, despite what Tanq divined about me in the darkness, but now we are to have them. Might as well wait and see. I have been wrong before (just ask my ex-wife).(and Tanq, and 93, and Lad, and X - the list goes on and on)(heck, even George and Ham and Numbers - people whose opinions I respect - think I have been wrong about some things)

Short of the very Democratic procedures of killing him, jailing him, and/or impeaching him, we still have 46 months to go. Hang on, it is going to be quite a ride.

But overblown hysterics like he wants to be King or,he is a Nazi are not only fake, they don’t help in any way.

The only damger to our democracy I see is from the left, in their zeal to resist at ANY cost.

The issue isnt 'getting rid of the Dept of Education'. The issue is getting rid of it by diktat.

Many have zero problem with removing the DoEduc. It is created by act of Congress. Simply put -- the President cannot 'will it' out of existence w/o Congressional action to do so.

Please show us all your support for that process of removal by decree. Cool cool. Or just wash it all away with 'heck, its okay, hes just fulfilling a campaign promise'.

If you are such a lapdog for removal to agree that it should be willed out of existence solely by EO -- cool cool. Life could be fun in OO world with that view....

Quote:We have never had a Prez take action this fast and this thoroughly. This spreads alarm among those who are afraid of change - mostly those who voted against him.

Read the above for a more correct recitation.

Quote:Short of the very Democratic procedures of killing him, jailing him, and/or impeaching him, we still have 46 months to go. Hang on, it is going to be quite a ride.

It is the idiotic statements of "Democratic procedures of killing him" and "Democratic procedures of] jailing him" that show the shallowness of your view.

As for 'jailing him' -- yes, how fing dare a person who is shown that more likely than not had committed acts that are not legal be charged with them. How utterly horrible.

As for impeaching him, wash, rinse, and repeat the above paragraph. Only those with the most serious amount of head in sand think that Trump is pristine and wholly without cause for charging and/or subjecting his actions to the acid test of impeachment. For some, trying to **** on an electoral process *is* a cause for impeachment. I guess not in OO-world.

Quote:But overblown hysterics like he wants to be King or,he is a Nazi are not only fake, they don’t help in any way.

What do *you* call an action of dissolving a department bt decree when created by statute?

What do *you* call the actions of rounding up several hundred people and deporting them with *zero* due process?

What do *you* call EOs that ban law firms from entering any Federal building, with zero legal basis and zero due process involved?

Serious questions above OO, as opposed to your flippant **** about 'wants to be King' above.

Quote:The only damger to our democracy I see is from the left, in their zeal to resist at ANY cost.

Yep, the left is so predicated on operating well outside the law. Got it. I take it you are not concerned by the regime of edict your guy seems to like so much. Cool cool there, big guy.

lol at arguing it’s overblown to say Trump wants to be a king when he literally throws a hissy fit whenever a coequal branch of government seeks to exert their own authority.

I do think that an appeal of Trump is that he doesn’t let the intentionally slow process of democracy get in the way of action, because the intentionally slow process of democracy has gotten too slow. We don’t see compromise in bills intended to promote the common good, and he has taken advantage of that.

Multiple Trump White House officials have ties to antisemitic extremists

Your guys ain't lookin' so clean, OO.

Quote:President Trump campaigned on a pledge to fight antisemitism.

"Antisemitic bigotry has no place in a civilized society," Trump said at an event in 2024.

However, the president's critics question whether antisemitism may have found a place within his administration.

NPR has identified three Trump officials with close ties to antisemitic extremists, including a man described by federal prosecutors as a "Nazi sympathizer," and a prominent Holocaust denier.

The White House did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
