With the SEC, it's about $$, people. Not state names, culture, or even geography. Virginia, and UNC do not drive up the media contract shares - they likely drive them down. Clemson and FSU do. It's really that simple. Virginia and UNC might get in, if the SEC decides to position itself as the single top tier of college football with their own playoff system. But they are likely lower on the list than Clemson and FSU.

Kansas and WVU? Are you kidding?
