I was at App when Marshall left (the '94 game on a rainy night in Boone is still one of my fondest football memories). I remember people mocking Marshall for taking the jump at the time, but there were also plenty of us wondering why we weren't going with them.

AppFaninCAAland - I too was in Boone that fateful rainy night. For some reason, I just remember being miserable as I exited the stadium where YOSEF and Co. were giving us the #1 sign! Much fonder for me would be that late season game in 1996 (w Randy Moss) and a hard fought victory... Gonna be electric on Saturday in The Joan!
