ESPN during pregame said he USA's starting QB was out for an undisclosed "illness".

This is accurate. His shoulder is dinged up but there is an “illness” he needs to get past as well.

Sorry Sun Belt fam, that game was pathetic. UAB whipped us again and they deserve the all the credit. Coach Campbell might have lost some support after that performance. We’ll see how the rest of the year goes.

They were the same way at the New Orleans Bowl last year.

South has played 6 halves of football this season. The first 3 were good, looked like we finally turned the corner and making good progress. The last 3 looks like we completely forgot how to play football and have regressed back to the last 3 seasons.

If conference play doesn’t get better, South will be/should be looking at our 3rd head coach on the sideline next season.

I too would like to offer my apologies to the SBC family about the very poor performance by an ill-coached Jaguar football team. The USM win wasn't a fluke, but it led a lot of people to believe that South was "on the way up". The program will never improve under the "leadership" of the current coaching staff.

I don't mean to make you feel worse but that USM team that showed up against USA reminded me of our 2012 team and well, we have lost 6 straight...that team lost 12 straight. We will lose to Tulane, so make that 7 straight.

Our offense struggled going into that endzone late in the game. I think post Covid, the crowd noise will be lots better. The 1st game vs Tulane, there was some noise. If you guys can get tickets to see the stadium, it is worth coming to visit.
