47% of people took it in 2017, more in the 65+ demographic. So that's quite a bit of protection and progress toward herd immunity, for the strains the vaccine covers.

NYC it was worse than what that resident was used to. President Trump sent the hospital ships. And they soon left because the number of patients they handled was in the dozens. They weren't needed. There's been no place in the US where the hospitals have had more than they could handle, at least not yet.
