So crazy. So a patient that is 65 has less worth to society than a patient that is 55.

I don’t know how we have gotten to a place that we let actuarial tables dictate health care. Triage is not age based unless this is Logan’s Run.

There are people who are 75 who may only have 5-10 years left on the planet who will have positive contributions to society in that time measured in several standard deviations to some wastes of space who are 1/3 their age who will merely suck up air for the next 50 years.

Not sure how the Hippocratic oath jibes with arbitrary age cutoffs.
