They're only idiotic and reckless to reckless idiots. By that I mean people who don't understand that the flu kills something like 50,000 Americans per year and we've been taking it far too lightly for decades.... so the problem is people like you reading right to left... and not people like this reading left to right. I'll agree with you that the average American is an idiot, but that doesn't make a factual statement 'reckless'.

Clearly we don't take the flu as seriously as we should. That still does not change the fact that citing flu deaths to try and diminish or explain this away is reckless and dangerous. It's reckless because just citing it does not factor in death rates nor developed vaccines and cures for the flu.

You are missing the point. But you are such an angry little person you want to attack those who don't follow your beliefs. This is just another reason people die from disease. Except this time we shut the frickin world down over it and cost years of success to do it. For those that don't realize it, there are other bugs/viruses out there that are killing people and we just write it off to "natural causes" or "pneumonia" on a death certificate.
