To be very fair Italy has one of the oldest average populations in the world, and this thing from what I can see pretty much spares the young and devastates the old. So yeah that would be a country that would be kinda screwed. My big concern right now is my parents and especially my aunt who's going through lung and brain cancer.

I've also heard there are multiple mutations of this virus, some worse than others. Might explain why some clusters are experiencing more serious outbreaks (Seattle, NY, Boston) while California and the rest of the country are experiencing sporadic isolated cases and it doesn't appear to be spreading. Florida has a particularly old population and a massive cruise and travel industry... but the virus doesn't seem to be doing well there. Not sure if it is the warmer weather or they just haven't gotten hit with one of the nastier mutations. If it is the weather, that bodes well for our ability to run out the clock being spring is around the corner.
