Well played. That suggests the decision would be made by the existing Big 12 members (minus OUT) and the four who have not yet officially joined the league.

I expect we will have a much better picture of the timetable we are dealing with soon. While folks are talking about 2024 and beyond, I think what's going on with this realignment is like a runaway freight train at this point. There will be tremendous pressure to finalize it as expeditiously as possible for the six schools already involved.

I can understand the urgency of schools not already in that group to float their names as additional candidates to move up in the pecking order before it's too late. But for the Big 12, they should no longer feel any sense of urgency to expand further.
