I would sub in Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State for Indiana State and Youngstown State.

Don't suppose you'd be be willing to say if NDSU is one of the schools CUSA is talking to? 03-wink

100% true. I talked with the Weber St AD (who has since left for USU) years ago and he made no attempt to hide that information, lol.

This seems clear to me as well. Indiana St has one great (and very short) era of basketball and not much else. Youngstown St would be a decent football add but I'm not sure they'd be interested in a move that wasn't to the MAC. Then again, I'm not sure the MAC would take them.

I would sub in Northern Iowa for Eastern Kentucky. Northern Iowa's budget is higher than every member of the OVC and ranks 3rd in the Missouri Valley Conference among football-sponsoring members, AND they utilize the least amount of allocations to subsidize their budget of all football schools in the Ohio Valley and Missouri Valley Conferences combined.

AND they would be a good bridge member between Missouri State, Illinois State, and North & South Dakota State.

Man, I sure hope so!! North Dakota State and South Dakota State would be slam dunk additions to Conference USA aside from the geography not being great, but that didn't stop the AAC from trying to steal San Diego State from the Mountain West, do it should not be an issue for CUSA.

Youngstown State is also a tv market.
UCA is in the Little Rock Metro for that tv market.
Chattanooga is a tv market wise.

Terre Haute is a big tv market if a network executive's target audience is exclusively inmates on death row.

Ralphie's home in "A Christmas Story" is said to be there. Don't shoot your eye out.

It is not even in the top 10 largest cities in Indiana.

There are still untapped tv markets that are still to get at the FCS, non-football schools who have expressed interest in adding footbal, Dayton want to get into something new, and D2 schools like Colorado Mesa, Midwestern State, West Texas A&M, Central Oklahoma, and so forth.

lmao what?!?

Terre Haute is in..the Terre Haute TV market. That's 110,000 people...the 160th sized TV market. That's smaller than like, Bangor, Maine, or Anchorage. Youngstown is 115th and getting smaller by the year.

Guys, the only FCS schools that have ANY TV value above replacement level would be North Dakota State, the Montanas, JMU, maybe some HBCUS....and that's it.

If I had to watch Indiana State football, I'd shoot both eyes out.

That place is in the Little Rock tv market but Little Rock doesn't care about them. A bone might get thrown towards Conway once in a while and that's all. Outside of Jonesboro, no school not named pigs will ever carry a market in Arkansas.

The D2 comment is too idiotic to bother with.
