Before throwing the player under the bus, I’d like to know the factors driving his improper action. It is possiible Tubby could have prevented the inappropriate outburst through better communication, for example.

Perhaps I was not clear. Rhodes was wrong. His punishment was appropriate. However, the reasons for his wrong conduct should be evaluated. It is better to prevent a problem, if feasible, than deal with it after it occurs.

Remember, there is a history of player dissatisfactions and transfers under Tubby in his short tenure at Memphis. A little self-reflection might be in order for Tubby.

Your crush had a problem with transfers. Tubby had players transfer his first year on the job which is normal. If he has more then 1 this year or a starter transfer then we can look at it as a problem, but last year is nothing to worry about by itself.
