the FBHC at Boise State who followed Malzhone at Ark State is following him at Auburn.

This makes 2or 3 Boise State FBHCs to be hired by P5 programs, but we still see no mention of the school being moved into a P5 conference -- only a lateral move to the AAC at the same G5 level.

Geographically they fit the PAC12, but the university doesn't fit the academic culture and stature of the other PAC12 universities (even WSU and OSU have bigger endowments and research). You ask what does that have to do with football, but university presidents pick their colleagues.

Boise State's closest P5 compadre is WVU, which is a Geographic outlier in Big12. I think the Big12 has other geographic interests.

I don’t doubt for one minute that Clark would’ve dumped Vincent if he got the AU Job. Would’ve had money to hire just about anybody he wanted if AU didn’t have a buyout in Steele and Garner who are making more than our entire assistant staff.

Would ULM not been better off hiring Tommy Bowden instead? Man, how do these parasitic coaches continue to get jobs?

Under Vincent we have been to three straight CUSA championship games winning two

Yeah, has nothing to do with a top 10 defense 3 years in a row.

We ran a pick route on our last touchdown play that we got penalized earlier in the game for. They didn’t call it here due to some of our luck and thankfully Shropshire adjusted to make the catch. Poor play call that we got lucky on.

You can win championships in this conference without a good offense.

So, since the main reason he stayed with us seems to be loyalty to his coaching staff, or being able to choose his own staff any at new coaching position, does that mean he is more likely to leave us sooner rather than later, or stay a long time? I'm not sure how to feel about that..

I know we've made fun of them lately, but Auburn is a pretty big time college football program. I have to think it'd take a program on that level or higher, in the south, that would give him complete control over the coaching staff - at a minimum - for him to leave. Hopefully that means he's around a few years longer at least.

So our pick actually looked like a rub (which is legal), Shropshire (who Vincent may or may not have known was on the team) is very talented and made a talented catch the way talented players do.

I’m sure Vincent was pissed when he didn’t see the team draw that up and score because he was taking a piss.
