RE: What is your breaking point with JJ?
Wichita St. wasn't always Wichita St good then either. I would think there were a few years in there where we were the better team. But he has taken us from being better than VCU/GMU/Richmond to losing to JMU and WM. To be fair, we've often seemed to find a way to lose to WM.

This doesn't really deserve a response but it should be highlighted so everyone can see this wild claim.
JJ has been here for 7 years and unless I am forgetting someone, Caver was the only 4 year recruit JJ brought in that will pan out. Carver will be the 2nd, though whether he panned out or not would be a completely different discussion if we had a good team. Blaine recruited Bacote, Baker, Denzel Taylor, and Richard Ross in his last 2 years, all 4 year players. Who else besides Caver do you think Jones has recruited that is better than Bacote, Baker, Denzel Taylor, and Richard Ross?

Wade, X and Carver.
Transfers are also recruits. You can't discount all the talent he's recruited via the portal just because it fits your narrative.

X and Carver are not better in my opinion. Wade might be, we'll see if he sticks around and passes all his piss tests.

Denzell Taylor couldn't play offense and Ross could only make dunks. Both had a similar FT % to Carver. Carver isn't the same player that they were, but he's a monster on the boards and is a versatile defender that can defend 1-5. Carver is certainly at the same level as those 2.

Ok, so JJ recruits at about the same level as Blaine in his last 2 years. I can buy that. Don't forget either that Blaine also recruited Batten, who played significant minutes in the ACC after Jones ran him out and Mosley, who led UNCW to the NCAAs after Jones ran him out.

Under the nonsense parameters you placed.
Freeman, BJ, Brandon, Porter, Curry, Haynes, and Arledge are all better than those recruits.

Why do you think Jones ran Batten out? Why do you think he ran Mosely out?

JMU beat ODU this year. It was an upset. That doesn't make them better than ODU any more than ODU beating Syracuse last year makes them the better team. Something crap happens.

Now if he goes 3 years without another NCAA bid, we can have this discussion.
If we have to wait 3 years to ditch this nepotistic hire my head is going to explode.
1 ncaa tourney bid and no at larges in 7 years and a complete disaster of a team in year 7 does NOT deserve 3 more years. Absolutely hell to the no.

Unfortunately never. We had 2 top 50 seasons under BT that were great years (37, 48 in 10-11) but people remember that short stretch way more than the remember the remainder of his career.
BT:
164
162
101
73
67
64
118
93
37
48
111
276
We have never been Butler, Witchita State, Gonzaga good. Would love to get there at some point but not sure how that happens.
These were not our rpi numbers. Use the stats that mattered in those days or gtfo.

This current sophomore class is going to be very good if it stays together. Just need a few more pieces.
