I'm really tired of insinuations from the left that those with more conservative views are somehow spoon fed those views by the likes of Alex Jones. Most of those views have been personally held long before there was a Fox News, or before any of us knew whether Alex Jones was a man or a woman.
You seriously haven't heard that he claimed the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax with crisis actors and that he's being sued because of it? And you've not heard of Infowars or that he's the driving force behind it?
Dude... He PROVED that. Anyone who denies that they used crisis actors in the reporting is just an ostrich with its head in the sand.
What credible source backed up his claim of crisis actors?
My freaking EYES. He has video evidence. I have taken the time to watch said video evidence. It is undeniable.

but i learned about all of these sites on here... so anything I DO know that came from them, came from here
I recall a thread on here about the sandy hook massacre and someone claiming a hoax, but as I recall, they were calling the reaction a hoax/staged, not the event. I don't know if that was true or not, nor do I remember remotely where the claim came from... my ONLY response was in reading the linked article and noting how the thrust of the thread was claiming they said the event was a hoax... when the article said the reaction was staged. That's what I recall and has nothing to do with the veracity of the claim about the hoax, nor the person/group/whatever who was making the claim of a hoax.
There was a lot of that going on at the time, and to a great degree, still is. I've made the same comment about a lot of these fact checkers.
I read every article with a bit of skepticism and decide for myself if the author is making a reasonable inference or point or not.
What I find amusing is all of the people claiming something about someone's leanings based on whom they think they read... who then demonstrate that this is ABSOLUTELY true about themselves.

Yeah, I've seen it. Funny thing is, Alex Jones' video that has all of the evidence of the same people working multiple crises has been scrubbed from the internet. Can't find it anywhere.
But noooooo..... we don't have a conspiracy here...

but knowing WHAT Mother Jones is and knowing WHO they are (or what they stand for) are completely different things.
I know that all of these are politically minded websites... I don't know who is behind them or which way they lean, but I DO know that hits is what they are after... not truth.
The biggest problem for me in this regard is that the 'normal' media competes with them... so they sometimes engage in the same sort of crap.
But agreeing in general with Owl's comment that you linked... I don't think a website based on a model such as facebook (or probably any of these others) where they get paid by advertisers for hits has much of a problem with posting illegally obtained information and then trying to hide behind some sort of shield, and if that doesn't work, they declare bankruptcy and start up again under a new domain...
I'd say the same about Drudge (which I know leans right) or HuffPo (which I know leans left). At least those, you know who the person is behind them.
Sure, I can look these things up, but I don't give a damn about them (either direction).
