I love ACC basketball and would like top see NCSU be a great program again. I don't really give a hoot what you guys think about it and guess what? The coaches we are talking about don't either. Miller or Keatts would do a great job there I think and I am betting on whoever gets the job will be a success there.Its the best conference for college basketball and its in our backyard.

OSU has won 7 conference titles since 2000, and has been to the postseason Every year since 2004! How the hell is state a better job?

Why would they fire a guy with that kind of success is the better question? I like NCSU and IMO it is a better job. Best basketball conference,great history,great fans and its in Raleigh,NC not Ohio. NCSU nees a new coach and USU does not is how I see it.

I agree, Its really hard to see any good coming from this move....UNLESS it was a mutual agreement. Gott wanted to finish the season, and Yow allowed it so if and when he returned to the TV analyst chair, NCSU would have an ally as opposed to an enemy.

I'd rather take a HC job at Wright State.

The fact that he's going to stay on until the end of the season absolutely makes no sense to me.

UNCW coach thought it was a good move at one time and guess what it turned out ok for him.
Bottom line is,you don't have a clue how this will play out and neither do I. Just because you write some crap about another school or the coaching job there means zero. UNCW has been on the other end of this deal a few times in the not so distant past and could easily be there again when Keatts leaves. Have a little respect for the other guy.

Any job in the acc is a better job than Ohio state.

No reason for that to be the case this time even if Miller is not the guy and who knows if they have him as No.1. Its a big world out there with lots of basketball coaches.

Not many teams in the Acc have the success over the last 15 years OSU does. Duke, UnC, ville, maybe Cuse

I completely disagree. OSU is far and away a better gig than the likes of Georgia Tech, Wake, and definitely NCSU.

OSU has a football team that is annually competing for a national title which takes a lot of pressure off their basketball program's success. NCSU... not so much.

OSU has much more recent success and accomplishments.

OSU plays in the Big 10. It's not like they're the Big 12 or MVC.

I get that you're ACC bred like many of us, but saying any job in the ACC is better than OSU is asinine.

Basketball at Osu is 2nd to football. Basketball is bigger than football in the acc and that is why a coach would prefer to be in the acc

Which is exactly what drives the unrealistic expectations at NCSU. A lot of unnecessary pressure without the ability to meet the expectations of a delusional fan base and athletic dept.

The coaching gig at ND is better than NCSU as well.

Claflin is a better job than NC State.

But it seems doubtful. Which means NC State will likely end up shopping from a second tier of candidates, and here’s what one second-tier candidate told me Thursday: “I wouldn’t touch that job. If making four NCAA Tournaments [in six years] gets you fired midseason [in your sixth year], it’s not a good job to take if you already have a good job.”
