Since 1991:

Basketball
Regular Season Titles:
5 - USA
2 - Louisiana Lafayette

Conference Tournament Titles:
4 - USA
3 - Louisiana Lafayette

Just for fun let's do baseball too:

Regular Season Titles:
9 - USA
4 - Louisiana Lafayette

Conference Tournament Titles:
6 - USA
1 - Louisiana Lafayette

We've won the conference title on the floor five times. We have more post season appearances than you during that same time period. We also put more people in our building to watch us play. You can discount the seasons that Orien Greene played if you want. But, we all know who won the league.

I didn't bring up baseball, and I have a huge amount of respect for your baseball and basketball program for that matter. However, if you think you are far and away the second best basketball program in the league you are not correct.

Interesting thing about Orien Greene is that he was all set to follow John Pelphrey (who had recruited him to UF) and transfer to USA, when he Jesse Evans suddenly swooped in and he was off to be a Cajun. It was puzzling at the time.
This is all old news, however. I appreciate and respect the rivalry we have with the RCs and hope it continues into the future. If one of our schools should move along, hopefully we will continue to play each other.

I've always liked the Jags. And, I'm more excited now that they have football. The rivalry should continue to escalate. It's always a great baseball series.

Don't worry man.

There are a few schools we would want to schedule every year in every sport no matter in what conference we reside.

South Alabama is in that group.

Even though Lousiana has Arkansas State and ULM as rivals and USA has Troy, I always say the USA-Louisiana rivalry could get big. I'll say it again because there is definitely intensity between the two schools in sports. Look at the history in basketball and baseball and more recently in softball. I can only help but think the same will be true in football over time as well which would send the rivalry to a new level.

I still would not expect any further conference changes (except a 12th team being brought into the SBC) for at least the next 2 seasons (2013 and 2014).

Also the conference made a strong statement that no team will be allowed to leave the SBC without a full 12 month notice.

That settles it. Never in the history of the SBC ever made a strong statement that it didn't enforce. I mean Wright Waters made a pretty strong comment about the MOU he signed with the independence bowl back in 2008 and that stuck, right?

Had a blast in Mobile until Dwight Dasher just started heaving bombs like he was playing 5,000/jackpot/(any other number of names for that game) in his backyard. He had a couple of throws in that game that were picked like they were punt returns.

Still a great trip and a great city.

If CUSA loses two more I think we should look at going to 18 and take four of these five: ULL, stAte, USA, Georgia Southern, Appalachain State.

We will beat the ever living sh!t out of y'all, I do know that.

The big difference between ECU, USM, La Tech and other CUSA and AAC schools is they have been trying to compete with the big boys for the last 35 years. We had a president at the helm who helped usher the death penalty and remained the president for 36 years. He retired three years ago, look what happened.

Get back to me when y'all beat ANY FBS program.
