12 hour class...qualify with your gun at a range...pay for your background check...get fingerprinted...start carrying.

I have a TN carry permit and it was a 8 hour class for me. 12 hours would be a bit much imo

The only class we have is a hunter safety course that is 3 hours a day for 3 days. It's not required for a conceal and carry but I think it is mandatory for people getting their hunting license for the first time.

Yeah I think that isnt a bad idea in all honesty.

I took it when I was 14 right after I got my first shotgun. I don't hunt anymore though. I still like to shoot skeet.

Are there any predators other than coyotes to hunt in OK?

There are apparently 36 species of wild cats in Oklahoma. I actually ran across a Lynx like this one the other day. I think we are too far east for mountain lions. Hunters usually go to the Rockies for that.

Nice, the Lynx actually only lives in Far northern north america but it is only a subspecies of the bobcat. There are really only like 4 species of cats in america counting jaguars in NM/AZ. The bobcat has a bunch of subspecies though.

I see. I looked it up and that cat is called a Lynx Rufus - a subspecies of the bobcat. Don't you have those as well?
