The list of benefits all Americans should be grateful to the Unions for is seemingly endless

Just think, if every company was unionized there would be no need for labor lawyers.

No one here believes the unions didn't have their place 50+ years ago. You can largely thank the Federal Government and the regulatory environment for us not needing Unions today. The main reasons the unions existed in the first place are now law. Sure, we can thank Unions for that but its foolish, IMO, to think all that will unwind if the unions cease to exist.

Then you are a simple minded fool

So, you believe we'll change the laws to reflect working conditions from half a century ago? Serious question? If its yes then please explain why you think that is.

More money into the pockets of the 1% so they can buy off more politicians. Rinse repeat.$$

The workers were out of a job working for nothing. The workers don't make what they USED to make, but they make more than they do making nothing. Meanwhile, their corporate masters make money and pay taxes, as opposed to losing money, paying no taxes and then being a burden on the banks and bankruptcy courts.

That works out to be about 100k per executive. Given that experienced executives, even from a failed company have value in the market, and are necessary to keep the company going until its sale or liquidation and unsure of which it might be... those are relatively small bonuses.

If YOUR company were going under... how much would it cost to keep you from leaving. Alternatively, how much, as an experienced professional, would you charge to leave your present job to go to work for a company that was probably closing in a year?

No, but I lived through the 1970's when union goons went through my father's office building and vandalized it every night when it was being built by (legal) non-union labor.

Unions suck. Just a bunch of fat, overpaid, underworked slobs. And they're mean.

Union leaders don't have it so bad compared to the people they represent.

Another example of unions trying to kill their host.

The mayor of Memphis said billboards put up by the Memphis Police Association are hurting the city’s image and calls the message, “selfish.”

The police union billboards feature the warning, “DANGER: Enter at your own risk; This city does not support public safety,” MyFoxMemphis.com reported.

Mike Williams, the president of the MPA, said the billboards are meant to target city leaders and are about protecting union’s jobs and benefits.

“I think it’s self-centered, I think it’s selfish,” Memphis Mayor A C Wharton said. “I think it has no place in our city.”

The mayor said the signs are driving away visitors and costing people who work in the tourism and hospitality industry, warning it may cost people their jobs, MyFoxMemphis.com reported.

“Our billboards are not aimed at the citizens. They’re not aimed at saying this really a bad, bad place,” Williams said.

Wharton said Memphis instituted a 4.6 percent pay cut to protect jobs, as opposed to issuing layoffs, but police officers want their pay reinstated and Williams said the signs are just the start of the union’s public campaign.

“This can be stopped at anytime,” Williams told MyFoxMemphis.com.

“The mayor has the power to stop it, so if in fact he wants to stop it then he needs to do right by the city employees, and definitely the police officers in this city.”

Unions are setting a bad example for our youth.
For some reason unions think they are owed something.
Can force our governments to do whatever they want.

Well, after all we know who got who elected.
Take it fearless union leader is still the most frequent visitor to the White House.
The New World Order cannot come about without unions setting up around the world, so their Mafia leaders can make even more money.

So are the workers actually going to pay to work in the re-opened Hostess plant? If not, a paycheck is much more than the union option of $0/week. Just sayin.

Why spend that heaps of cash.....would just have to pay untold money for Obamacare. No fiscal responsibility in our administration....no course set for improving businesses or even business, only how to tax those that make a little money. Just no reason to do business in such an anti-business climate that Obama has set up. Union leaders making his policies for him and getting their foot into the door more and more. So many more things, could type forever.

What workers lost their pensions at the request of Geitner? Hint-it wasn't the union workers. Obama's Admin likes to pick the winners.

Literally auto company controls being turned over to unions with them being paid off in the stock, while regular
stock holders being left out in the cold is the most socialist thing I have ever heard of. Where did it happen?

Few things are more satisfying than seeing the pain of liberals as unions grow more and more irrelevant. What makes it better is the pain is bred from stupidity.

So much goodness.

I don't see it as goodness. Stupidity is never good, because stupidity isn't a bar from voting... and is easily motivated by banal "bumper sticker" rallying cries like "change"

True enough but liberals have no desire to get off stupid so we may as well enjoy the entertainment value.
