I agree BAM is bad. Metro okay but was used already. I like almost anything that doesn't tie us to CUSA, but if it has to be one of the two, Big Metro is much better.

That was what Blaudschun posted a couple of days ago. The OP is what he posted today. And in between, he said it would be some combo of Big, American and Metro. I think he has it covered now.

if it ends up being american metro conference, would amc television balk at the conference being amc? like the world wildlife fund and world wresting federation?

Big Metro is redundant. Metropolitan areas are already assumed to be big. Just call it the metro. Doesn't matter if it's been used before, does it? If we're making up silly names, why not call it the Conference of Champions. No acronyms please.

If the two final choices are indeed American Athletic Conference or American Metropolitan Conference, I will be okay with either one, but would prefer the AMC.

Anything with American is redundant and too close to CUSA.

Are they non-American schools in the NCAA?

Plus why would a conference that will be humorously be tagged as CUSA 3.0 want a name that helps that narrative?

"Eastern Athletic Conference" ("EAC"). Sensible traditional dignity.
