Everyone that is clamoring for Bruce Pearl needs to realize that he still has a year left on his show cause.

Which is why in my opinion there is no chance Josh goes to UCLA, they can't mess up this hire or hire anybody that the fanbase would question. Even though their standards are even worse than goofy Memphis fans.

Yep. No way we would touch him right now. Next year if we lost our coach that would be a different story.

BIG difference this class has signed the LOI. Cal intentionally told his last class NOT to sign LOI. Can't take this class with him if he left.

this is 99% wrong...not surprising considering the source but it is not correct. the LOIs had out clauses put in by Calipari ( and approver by RC). one player did not sign ..Cousins

LOI are official NCAA documents Cal cannot add anything to them.

Rule wasn't changed., The NCAA sent out notices to REMIND coaches that exemptions are not allowed. The rule was never changed. Exemption have never been legal according to NCAA rules. Schools could choose to release the player but the NCAA did not have to acknowledge the release. What Cal was offering has always been illegal. It also had no legal binding with the NCAA when it comes to transfers. NCAA did not have to honor the release since in their eyes it is the LOI that is binding. Damn lucky NCAA didn't stick us with another violation due to the exemption clauses.

Pastner is not leaving for USC in a million years. UCLA is a different story.
