Quote:In anticipation of the soda ban, Bloomberg on Monday released new data tying sugary drinks to the city's fattest neighborhoods. The new city study showed nine of the neighborhoods with the 10 highest obesity rates were also the highest in sugary drink consumption. At the other end, the three least obese neighborhoods were also the lowest in sugary drink consumption.

I'd like to see the break down of fat people by neighborhood, race, etc. I'd also like to see how many fatsos eat pizza and burgers for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Bloomberg is an ass.

Bloomberg is an ass.

Exactly, selective statistics at its finest I would presume.

Don't give 'em too much credit. It wasn't "common sense" that stopped it. The judge felt it wasn't implemented broadly enough.

Bloomberg is an ass.

I don't care. I'm ready to believe his causal relationship because it doesn't matter.

People are supposed to be free to make choices. They're free to be stupid (from a Dem). Keep gov't hands off their bodies (from Progressives).

This law is simply ridiculous.

What I do wonder is whether public funds were spent to determine the soda/obesity connection, and if so, how many?
