I hate it because I love TB as a player. But it seems he is NEVER in position to get rebounds. The ones he does come down with seem to only happen because of his brute strength. Imagine if he actually was in position most of the time.

Actually most experts agree that come tourney time, guard play is most important. Opinions vary.

About about "winning and significant game?" or

"winning a game against a good team" or

Memphis can win 38475047837548 games in a row against cusa caliber teams and it wont matter a poop until we win a real game

95 % of rebounding is just knowing where the ball is gonna come off the rim and getting into position. Black is like 6'8 240 pounds. Its a shame that hes such a poor rebounder

Hate to say it but Black has never been the rebounder most think he should be. Its late enough now that its not gonna change.

Black's job is not to get the rebounds, it's to block out and let our guards scoop up the rebounds.

RE: Our Lack Of A Front-Line Will Keep Us From Winning
Our lack of perimeter D (which works fine in CUSA) really hurts us outside of CUSA.
Our lack of rebounders (which works fine against CUSA) really hurts us outside of CUSA.
We had long stretches of passing around the perimeter and then jacking shots, no plays being ran.
We had stretches where we would run back on D and then stand and watch their PG casually walk the ball up the court. I am not saying PRESS, but I am saying force the pace which was a key to victory last night that we just seemed to ignore.

The number 1 biggest issue we have, we fold under pressure, also known as choking. Players take after their coach.

Considering we continue to have the exact same problems that we have had for 4 seasons, you guys can all blame it on the players if you want, but we all know that isnt the case.

The only post better than that one was the Houston poster explaining the poor attendance by saying the fans sit where the TV can't see them.

And if we beat Xavier last night, that would still be true. What is your point?

I wouldnt consider southern miss a decent team or a significant win. So imo we havent had a big time win this season.

Again, I need a definition for "significant win".

Tournament at-large teams are typically "good teams". USM is an at-large team at this point, Tennessee is as well. Xavier was a "good team" last season when we beat them.

Of course I would have. We lost to a terrible team last night. Ima just agree to disagree and leave this thread alone though.
