he has his work cut out for him....he better think of something and pretty damn quick because the team he has out there right now is bs

Our two best players are content to pound the ball and pass it back and forth 35 feet from the hoop.

Maybe they are told to do this. Don't know. But they are both a big part of the problem. Never look inside. Ever.

Big Dave comes in during the 2nd half and demands the ball on successive possessions and Parker feeds him. Got fouled both times. See how that works, Cash and SK?

The majority of those were open looks too, although a few of them were very deep. They actually did a better job of passing it inside/out for a shot or running to the corner for a spot-up 3... and they still couldn't hit anything!

The offense was clicking and Cash was on fire at DePaul... now Cash isn't even the best PG on the team. This really sucks right now.

This is almost as bad as the St. Johns home game when Yancy got booed two years ago...

As I said, at some point this is one Mick. It's glaringly obvious that they don't even want to drive or penetrate or cut or anything that might get them closer to the basket.

Not glaringly obvious at all. Parker looked inside and so did Rubles and Guyn when Cash was sitting.

I'd consider auditioning Guyn at PG this week in practice and next game.

Then I'd move Cash to SG and rotate him with Parker and S K. I'd have Parker spell Guyn for about 10 minutes. If Guyn is a disaster, then punt. LOL. But I really see no choice here.

I'd rotate Sanders, Rubles, and Thomas at the 4, and see who gives you the best combined D, rebounding, and scoring and give them the most minutes. Tell them this in practice all week.

In fact, I'd go in tomorrow and say all jobs are up for grabs.

It's bad, but not even close to being that bad for me. That team had just 2 top 50 wins and only 4 top 100 wins at the point and were bound for the NIT. This team has double the amount of good wins and is likely a 5 seed right now. Even though we don't have a PG right now, it's still not nearly in as bad of a situation as that team was after the St. John's game.

It will be difficult for UC to miss the tournament, but in terms of frustration with a team...it is reaching that point.

What are you frustrated with? This team played it's ass off tonight. I thought the offense took shots that went to our advantage more often than not. You can ***** about missed 3s all you want, but I won't. Good shooters in good spots vs a packed in zone, unless we are protecting a lead, you gotta let that fly.

RE: UC vs Pittsburgh Game Thread
I told you. There is something wrong with Cash. Mick affirmed it in his post game comments.

I also had preseason concerns about our inside game. So did others. As the season wears on, it becomes ever more apparent. Tonight, a freshman manhandled us inside. Every week it's another Big East quality big man who exploits our weaknesses.

There is no one capable of filling in for Cash without a big drop off in quality

If I sound like I am bitching, I'm not. We are a heck of a lot better than we were just three years ago, but we are no where near where we need to be.

Just facts. There are pieces missing.

Amen. Will be hard to accept for those who were expecting an Elite 8 run.

Right now the Cats look like a fringe tournament team that will likely get bumped early on.

This team could struggle and find themselves in NIT or get hot and make it to the Sweet 16 again.

For anything good to happen they need to get healthy. The good news is that UC is in every game so there is hope out there. Beat Nova and Georgetown and things will look a lot better.

It didn't take long for

"Season is Over"
"I don't see many winnable games on the schedule"
"Roster is a mess"
"I can't wait to get new players next year"
"We are not a NCAA tournament team right now"

The same posts we have seen the last 2 years.

All it took was a loss on the road and a loss to the hottest team in the Big East.

Amazing how many fans over react to losses and wins.

The bigger concern is the health of the Cats.
Cash clearly isn't 100%. Parker is banged up. JJ didn't play in the second half.

UC missed some WIDE open threes last night. If they hit a few of those they win the game against a very good Pitt team.

UC's defense and rebounding will give them a chance to beat anybody if they can hit some shots. They haven't made any shots the last 2 games

18-6. Lot of basketball left. Just need to get healthy for the stretch run

uh no
Moodge had 1 rebound for the game. The offense is pass, try to pass,
stall, jack a three. HC can't draw a play to get the ball out of bounds.
Hit a few threes? they were 1 for 16 in the second half. Maybe Pitt
was making them shoot 3's because they can't score insi8de.
If they don't make 3's they can lose to anybody too
